Excerpt:
"I think they began to play dirty," Portis said. "They cheap-shotted Randy [Thomas] early on in the game unnecessarily, then they were getting away with some things, you know, the extra pushing. And I think one time Santana got tackled, if you see the guy get up he kneed Santana in the face when he was still on the ground. They brought all the extra activity to the game that wasn't needed, so we just let them know, we CAN play the same way.
"We really want to do it within the rules, and I think you seen Stephon [Heyer] lay [Darnell] Docket out, wipe him off his feet, and the ref want to throw a flag. I think it was a legit call, but oh, that's unnecessary. But they do unnecessary stuff, and they never said anything about it. Like [Dockett] tackling me and pulling my helmet, or jerking my head back: that's unnecessary, because if I get hurt or I took a cheap shot at you and one of us mess up the other's career, then it's like, 'Oh, he tried that intentionally.' But all game you been pulling face masks and doing the extra stuff after the play, so I think the refs just need to pay attention to that."

He's upset that he thinks he got jobbed by the Cards?? Are you ******** me?? The Cards dont get any respect from the officials. How about Breaston getting shoved in the back on that long pass, or all those ticky tack penalties on special teams.

Come on portis, or "Dr. Do Itch Big" or whatever personality you will take up today, grow some balls.

When I saw that play with Dockett that he's talking about, I thought that Darnell had grabbed his helmet because Portis's head whipped back. When they played it in slow motion, Dockett had his arm over Portis's shoulder grabbing the other shoulder. Totally legit and clean play.

I hope the Redskins and us make the playoffs so we can play them again.

I won't go as far to say every team plays "dirty" but I sure know that no team plays "clean".

I hate to say it but you guys can't honestly think it's a coincidence that Dockett took that hit and has taken other cheap shots over the years? Dockett is a great player and a Warrior, but he takes a lot of cheap shots and has his whole career. Opponents get mad and they retaliate.

Also remember Portis played at Miami, Dockett at FSU, there'a natural rivalry there.

But it's not just sour grapes when people say this kind of stuff, Dockett is one of those guys that pushes the envelope on physical or dirty.

And thats something our D had been missing Russ, If or one am glad to have some attitude out there wreaking some havoc, other good teams have it as well. Screw Portis his team got away with a win and a few questionable calls he should shut his trap.

I think Dockett's comments were worse when he said the Jets are 10 times better than the Skins, that is being a sore loser. I give a guy more slack when he is talking junk about a team he beat than a guy that is talking smack about a team that handed him an L.

well I would counter that everytime someone complains about a late hit call on us it's usually Dockett or A Dub. Players get a reputation and sometimes it hurts us like the one on AW against the Ravens that essentially cost us the game and I still think was a bad call.

All I'm saying is Portis is just a guy who said this out loud, if someone had a list of dirtiest players in the NFL voted on by NFL players, odds are pretty good Dockett would be in the top 10. He plays on the edge. He's a terrific player, but he at times crosses that line and that's why this stuff comes up.

Id be more worried if Dockett didnt say that.. I would hope, especially after a loss, that they view the next team as a better team the the one they just got beat by.. It seems we'd only be setting ourselves up for a major catasptrophy if we didnt have this view...

BTW, whats up man.. Wheres ZO?

So true, and that is exactly why he has been flagged so many times for personal fouls.

I can understand that logic but if I was Dockett I just wouldn't have said anything like that to the media. It makes you sound like a sore loser.

Anyway Zo is still around, he's busy taking care of his kids for the most part but we still kick it and do it up for the Cards games. We still sit in the same seats. Actually we just got tix yesterday for De La Hoya-Pacquiao in Dec. The price tag put a nice size dent in the wallet but Vegas is going to be off the chain that weekend!

Can the media seriously just stop asking this ******** questions... It almost makes you dumber just for listening. Especially a guy that cant speak and refers to himself in the third person. LMAO What an idiot!
