I had a chance to see Mitch Trubusky against a pretty solid University of Illinois defense a while back and thought "wow I have no idea who this guy is but he is pretty good". Now I find out that he is the #1 rated QB on Mel Kiper's board. My assessment of this guy before I knew he was a legit prospect was that he is really athletic with outstanding accuracy.

Has anyone seen this guy play?

He'd have a much better chance of being drafted by the Cardinals if he transferred to NC State. ;)

Good call, Holian! Yeah, juza, Trubisky is a very good prospect. Pretty good size (6-3, 220)---strong arm---throws equally well and accurately to his left---can win from the pocket, but has escapability and good improv skills. Has come through in the clutch in several close games. He just lacks experience---he's a redshirt junior who is finally starting. Style-wise he reminds me some of Derek Carr. Probably should stay at UNC for another year---but now that Mel Kiper has him rated #1 QB prospect, he may have to take the money and run.

Has a hitch where he brings the ball down before he throws. Gruden had him #1 on the MNF game in his list of top QB's too at least the list they show.

This guy is a great prospect. I think he is very deserving of the #1 overall pick. Incredible accuracy. His only bad game was played in a hurricane. Unless we lose out, we would have to trade up for him, but I would definitely be in favor of it.

The second best QB that I have watched film of has been Mason Rudolph Ok St. He is currently projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd, but that will change leading up to the draft.

That's mechanics which a good QB coach should be able to fix.

I agree with Mitch he should stay in school another year, but probably won't. Not many starts to say for sure, but he is a prospect. I think he would be a risk at number 1 over all. Not that all QBs aren't a risk, but I think it is a bigger risk then normal. I worry about these "one year wonders".

What really stands out to me is his accuracy. He knows where to put the ball to avoid interceptions. He can make all the throws and stays calm in the pocket. I think he comes out this year. Sadly even with a higher draft pick he'll be long hone when the Cards pick.

Accuracy, accuracy and more accuracy is the biggest trait for the NFL :)

Asked scout friend about him. He really likes him. Of course, he really like Jonathon Cooper too.

If we draft around 10-15 then a lot of mocks think we can grab him. I was watching his DraftBreakdown tapes the other day. I see a lot that I like..

I also asked about Mason Rudolph from OK St. He said he's an exciting prospect but questions his arm strength.

Luke Falk is an interesting prospect, nice size especially since he's listed at 216 pounds at 6'4. May not have a rocket arm and play in an air raid offense but he is very accurate (31-34 against UA with 4 TD's). He is second in the nation in passing yards behind Mahomes Jr whom I'm also interested in.

I've seen some mixed reviews about Chad Kelly on this board. Obviously he's got talent, but also has been kind of a head case. I see he tore his acl so he's done for season. That could drop his draft stock so maybe he could be had in a later round making him a little less risky.

Mahomes looked like a high school kid yesterday chucking up prayers for interceptions when the game was on the line.

He threw 1 INT at the end of the game but he guided them down into the red zone within a minute, actually threw a great pass that was almost a TD if the WR would have got his foot down. Mahomes is constantly playing under pressure as his defense is pretty much non existent to where he seems to always be playing from behind. Still leads NCAA in passing yards, has better than 3 to 1 TD - INT ratio (31 - 8) and his completion percentage is up to 66%. He and Falk intrigue me particularly if ARZ is looking to take a QB within the first 3 rounds.

I dunno about his future at the next level but Lamar "Action" Jackson is awesome to watch. He's only 19.
