Yes to all three. I'd have been interested in them even if Levi didn't get hurt. The depth along our line seem to be paper thin--we would do well by bringing in more than one of these guys, IMO.

Chad Clifton - Green Bay
Bryant McKinnie - Baltimore
Winston Justice - Phil.

Any interest?

I'm pretty sure Winston Justice is playing and starting for Colts now?

if Justice were cut I would take a look....never has played to his perceived potential,...but the talent is there. McKinnie would be worth a look as well.

good lord... those will be quite possible the worst starting Ts in the history of football. I'm still flabbergasted at how we handled the T position this off-season. it made no sense whatsoever.

please lord... let us be proactive here and make SOME kind of move to get someone who won't be the biggest turnstile in the league.

Eeek....we'd be more efficient with two traffic cones at tackle

Chad Clifton is not in GB. He took a physical in NE about a week ago, but haven't seen a report that he signed.

If these are our projected tackles the NFL should make a rule change just for us.

Rushers should have to count to three Mississippi before coming across the line. Only fair and safe thing to do.

That is simply not true.

If Anthony Clement is not involved in the conversation then we cannot be talking about worst OT's in history, since he was the worst.

I say we pull a Cameron Wake, and sign the best LT in the Canadien Football League, or the best LT in the Arena league.

Couldn't hurt.

Clifton seems to make the most sense since he played right next to Colledge all those years in Green Bay. The only issues are can he pass a physical AND does he fit into the Cards scheme. The later I believe is the bigger deal. If the coaches don't like him, we won't even sniff Clifton. I'd be willing to bet however that we've already made a call or two. Once we officially put Levi on IR, we're free to sign or trade for someone.

Can the coaches afford to be picky at this point?

This may sound silly, but given Levi Brown is one of the worst pass blocking starting LT's in the entire NFL....

Is there a possibility that whoever we pick up outta FA could be a slight upgrade?

Think about it. These cuts are compared to their former teams starting LTs, who odds are way better than Brown. Joe Thomas' backup will fair better in competing with Brown for the job, get it?

Im just saying, seeing how the Cards staff have been so stubborn to replace Brown, this has forced their hand and we might fall into a situation where we do find a guy who can play well. He'll be no Pro Bowler, but neither was Levi.

He was at NE on the 13th of Aug. I have checked there boards and cannot find that he signed. I would at least make a call if i were the Cards.

For all the Cards staff ups and downs, you gotta give them a little credit. Everyone saying "should give so-and-so a call", you dont think they already have? I guarantee the Cards are on the phones this very second putting the work in to find a new LT. We're in borderline panic mode, im sure the Cards are in full-go mode.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I hope you are right though.

I think you could throw someone out there who could be comparable in terms of their pass blocking, but there will no doubt be a drop off in terms of run blocking.

Our line overall is better at run blocking anyways. Our overall pass blocking is abysmal so I think itd be good to focus on that aspect a little more.

I think we should build a catered line like this:

Pass block LT
Pass Block LG
Pro Bowl Center (good at both Pass block and run block)
run Block RG
run Block RT

Run the ball to the right most of the time because thats what your built for. The other team will know we're running to the right everytime? No problem, it also serves as a perfect play fake. Run it left once in awhile for a 20-30 yard gain.
