Kyler cannot deal with pressure. Even when he stands in the pocket he’s jumping around hops up and down which I believes affects his timing. He’s skittish.
He cannot pass with rhythm. I think he throws to the wrong receiver way too often.
Look back at the pass where MHJ was called for pass interference. HE WAS NEVER OPEN! What could Murray possibly have seen to even think of throwing that pass?

I’m tired of hearing Murray needs to be surrounded by 21 all pros to succeed. EVERY qb would benefit by that.

We have Murray and we laughed at other teams with the Mayfields, Goffs, Staffords and Darnolds of the world. Who’s laughing now?

Those guys were old. Kyler is still at least an average qb. You just don’t get rid of those unless you have something better available.
This is the talk of loserdom.

Age or no age, if your QB stinks and can’t even get it done to be a damn wildcard team, you’ve got nothing at QB. And continuing to pay 50 million for nothing is the the height of football stupidity, IMO.

Well, I do think Goff and Darnold actually are propped up by 21 all pros.

you look at the genos and the bakers and you look at their trajectories - neither achieving or succeeding until after leaving

if kyler murray is ever going to be a reliable pro bowl it'll be on another team

You also look at them and know if you get rid of Kyler you CAN find a veteran replacement… or a draft pick (see Bo Nix).

There’s no shot the season is over.

1)The bye hurt their momentum
2)too many penalties the last 3 games after being best in league
3)lost turnover battle last 3 games I believe
4)coaching staff resorted to more zone than m2m last 3 games
5)need mucho more talent

Toast, finis, onto 2025 we go
:yeahthat:

IMO Murray has shown who he is. A QB that will give you 3-4 All Pro games, and 3-4 crap the bed games. The rest very average NFL QB play which all adds up to an average season. After all these years just don’t think he can elevate this team like top tier QBs can

Flip side is maybe Baker/Darnold would have had the same start as Kyler (Baker did have two decent seasons in Cleveland though) if they started with Kliff.

Problem for Kyler is he's running low on options where a team would start him. If the Colts were done with Anthony Richardson that would be an interesting team to trade with for assets. Allow a rebuild and that's the kinda coach that be interested in rebuilding him.

Not sure more traditional offenses would take on that investment.

And he has proven he will fold under pressure.
Did it in 2021...now again in 2024...every game that was a must win...he choked.

Raiders. They’re the only team dumb enough to make that kind of move and give up something of value.

Bo Nix would be the 2nd QB drafted this year and last year he was the 5th QB taken. We’re not finding an upgrade anytime soon.
No one took Bo Nix seriously… or JJ McCarthy at this point last year.

And if you’re finding one of those guys, try to find the next Geno Smith, Darnold etc, use Kyler to get any kind of draft capital and move the hell on.

Running his choking ass back out there after what’s going to be another completely pathetic second half collapse signals the team isn’t even trying.

I agree. I’m sick of watching this debacle game after game , year after year and all the excuses the reasons why Murray is coming up short.
Six years is long enough. It be one thing if he was throwing for 4500 yards and 35 tds every year but he’s not and he never will.

You wanna know a sad truth?

Despite the great efficiency I never believed in this offense. Kyler had amazing games here or there but the overall vibe is what it is. Flip the comeback wins of the Dolphins/49ers for Seahawks/Vikings and its the same deal. There's no real strength anywhere except running on bad teams.

However, 2020 and 2021 were on a silver platter for us. Those teams weren't perfect either, but showed more upside as teams imo. Kyler blew it not getting it done those years cause he seemed far more capable of dominating before he sputtered out.

These last 3 weeks? Int luck now over and no more perfect kicker. And we look as mid as we've normally looked. This sucks, but this roster wasn't division winner worthy. 2020/2021 are years we just wasted.

They seem to be all in on Sanders.

Its tough to argue for Kyler when guys like Darnold/Baker are putting up double digit tds more than him. And rookies are putting up the same kind of passing #s.

Kyler never put up those monster #s. However, at least he would always be on pace for those kinda monster monster season before getting hurt or his play dropping off. Now we don't even see him carrying the offense like he use too and still doing not closing the deal.

Yes, the only thing that makes him average is his off script ability. But the league is on to him.
Today the Seahawks left end was NEVER going to let Kyler escape to the right. It is now common knowledge Murray is NOT going to beat you from the pocket.

Yep. Three weeks and 3 turnovers that flip the game. 50 mill and he should be above that not the cause of the problem.
I like the kid. But most teams wait ten years for their QB to win in the playoffs.
I don't want to wait 5 more years just to be able to clinch a playoff spot or win the division...only to find out it will take another 5 years for him to grow past that horrendous WC against the Rams.

We need to reload. Now we have some players developing to hit their primes at the right time.

Pretty simple to me. Win all 4 and hope Seattle loses 3, which is possible they have a tough schedule, Pack and Vikings definitely losable games, Rams too although it's the last game.

Do I think we win the last 4, no.
