I don't know who would win on a neutral field between the Pats, Colts, Steelers, and Broncos. The top of the AFC is deep.

It's crazy how fast the balance of power shifts. Who didn't think we could milk at least one more season out of the whole NFC West dominance thing? How long did that last - 2 years? Or was it only last year? Either way, it looks like it's gonna shift every year now.

It's hard not to notice what all of those 4 teams have in common - an elite QB. You take away the QB... well Denver is stilly really deep. That's why I still see them as the best team. They have Payton Manning plus probably the most complete team in the NFL. If Denver doesn't win the Super Bowl this year, it's a major failure because they sure have everything stacked in their favor.

I actually really like that metric because it really makes a lot of sense, but which teams get home field in the playoffs will make a big difference as well.

Good thing that we are a really really really good home team in the event we play one of them in the Super Bowl.

Side note, if/when we make it to the Super Bowl, do we the allotment of tickets for both hosting and playing in it? That may also be a slight advantage?

I would assume business as usual with a percentage offered to each team and the rest going through scalping companies so the team with the most people is the team whos fans have the deepest pockets.

If we are in the SB and it is here, I believe I would pay as much as $1,500 to go. Anything over that I have trouble with. I feel 1,500 is a lot but its a once in a lifetime opportunity at the same time.

I remembered that the email I got from the cards in 2008 was that if I was selected to get super bowl tickets face value they would be $800 each?

Something like that and I was offered fiesta bowl tickets for 800 each and passed. Never got offered the cards tix.

Yes, the face was $800 for lower-bowl SB tix in 2008. I still have mine framed on the wall.

For the SuperBowl in Tampa, the front office sent us tickets (based on our seats) and we paid $1,600 for a pair. I would think for this SuperBowl they would be higher. We couldn't make it, so re-sold them for $2,000

for the pair? if so then i think 1500 per ticket is absolutely reasonable even 6 years later on the secondary market.

it may be a little higher but we will cross that bridge if it is built

I hadnt thougjt about prices going up for a home SB. It makes sense since theoretically the demand will be higher here. Phoenicians will be able to pay more since they dont have to travel.

I cant imagine when they sit down and decide on ticket prices they decide that customers having to pay for hotels comes into the equation and lower the ticket cost. People will buy it regardless and lowering the ticket by $200 really wouldn't incentivise much as far as selling out, its going to sell out.

For sure. if the opportunity even comes my hope would be to find a season ticket holder who cant go that wants to sell it to a die hard, screaming cardinal fan for over face but less than scalpers.

Ummm. The season is half over. The playoff teams have not yet been determined. It may be premature to be planning on how much you intend to pay. The football gods would not be pleased.

800 was face value, but the secondary market, was mostly double that if not more. will likely be higher if the game is IN Phoenix due to people not having to pay for travel, thus they'll be able to spend more. JMO.

According to TiqIQ, the current secondary market average price for Super Bowl tickets is $3,185.83. That currently makes it the fourth most expensive Super Bowl over the past six seasons, but the average price tends to increase as the game gets closer.

While there would likely be a premium for ticket prices of a Super Bowl at home, there’s no telling right now how high demand would drive prices in the Arizona area. If the Cardinals keep winning like they have been in the first half of the season, there’s a good chance Cardinals fans could find out.

Trap game this week? We get Detroit next week and the Seahawks after.

Detroit may come to AZ desperate. They get Miami, @AZ, @NE the next three weeks and they probably have to win 2 of those. Cards will see them coming.

Seattle will give strong, desperate effort against us. We know they are out for blood after we beat them in their place last year. Plus, they have to sweep the AZ series this year if they have any hope of getting the division crown.

So the Rams game is the one game pretty much for the rest of the month of November where we might see a letdown. I hope Arians reminds this team that the Rams were the ones who pretty much dashed out postseason hopes last year. They are dangerous.

I've been to 2 Super Bowls - after the '94 season (San Diego/SF in Miami) and after '06 (Seahags/Steelers in Detroit), both on corporate (freebie) trips, with all the trimmings - 1st class hotels, dinners, cruises on the Intracoastal, tours of the Ford museum and factory, private "NFL on Location" parties with high-end entertainment, booze flowing like cheap oil in Kuwait.. the whole nine inches. If the Cards wind up in the game this year? I'm staying home. Even if I draw the privilege of buying a pair as a season ticket holder. The whole event is a big "meh" IMHO, with a bunch of stuffed suits rolling around like big shots, jacked up prices for everything EVERYWHERE, etc. By the time the actual game rolls around, it's anticlimactic. The stadium is full of neutral fans (for the most part) and the whole thing is tiresome by then.

My perfect scenario is we make it all the way, I get to buy a pair of tickets and resell them (to Cards fans, of course) for huge bucks, and sit at home and watch the game on the 60" big screen.

I've also been to one Indy 500 ('08). If I had the option of doing another one of those, or a Super Bowl.. I'd choose Indy again, without hesitation. And I'm no big motorsports fan. That was a spectacularly good time.

I'm not an Indy fan but have been dying to go to a SB, so I have to ask, what made the Indy 500 better? I'd be willing to do both frankly, but I'm just curious. Is it the accommodations, the pits, in-ear headphones of the drivers (and can you switch between different drivers?), going down on pit row? Please explain.

3K is a RIDICULOUS amount of cheddar... but I'd pay it to possibly to see the unthinkable... a Cardinals Super Bowl win... AT HOME? Would be a moment to cherish forever.

what would suck royally is to pay that much and see them get their asses beat.
