As some of you might recall, everytime I would light up Chris Young, he would follow the next day with a 2-3 hit game, often times throwing in a game winning dinger!

Well, Martin Prado.... you have left me no other choice bro. So, here ya go:

Dude, WTF is up with your at-bats?? You look like a freaked out 6th grade school-girl up at the plate! You rarely hit the ball to the left side of the field?? Why? Why can't you pull the ball anymore???
And I honestly can't recall the last time I saw you hit a ball out of the infield!!! What the heck is up with that?????

We don't need you to be J-Up! We don't even need you to be half of J-Up!!! Just be the Prado you've always been, or, anything close to it!! But this version of Martin Prado?? Heck, he doesn't even belong in the bigs!!!

I'm sure this will work. Thanks to you 82CardsGrad, Chris Young will promptly come off the DL and go 4 for 5.

Can't do this 82. It's apples and oranges. Prado will be fine. He's a career .300 hitter. CY could never hit.

We can re-visit this in September and see if I'm wrong, but I don't think I will be.

I know... And the fact that he is a career .300 hitter is why I'm so frustrated. He looks completely lost up at the plate. I could understand if he were hitting the ball hard but right at people. But c'mon man... He can't or won't even try to pull the ball, and, he can't even get the ball out of the infield! I'm not sure if there is something wrong with him physically, but, if there isn't, his head has to be a hornets nest because he really doesn't resemble a major league hitter right now. It's actually embarrassing to see the way he flails at pitches, while he continues to hit feeble ground balls to the right side of the field...

Prado has been right around his career distribution of spraying the balls on the field. He's pulling the ball just as often as his career norms. His GB% is right at his rate for the past few seasons as well.

It's either luck, exhaustion, or injury at this point IMO.

I wouldn't say he's been a huge disappointment but....

Well 82, we'll keep an eye on him tonight. He is batting in the 6 spot ahead of Parra who is hitting .299 so he may see some good pitches. He has to start sometime, maybe tonight's the night.

Yep... I honestly don't even care if he gets a hit tonight. I'd be happy if he just hit the damn ball hard! And would be thrilled if he hit hard to the left side of the field!! ;)

Twice he came up with RISP and made an out, the second one with the bases loaded and he swung at ball four that was over his head. :bang:

Prado is 1-30 with RISP this season :bang:

Needs more 82 jeers.

That is amazing. I could find a bunch of pitchers who are doing better than that. I can't see it getting any worse but that strikeout with the bases loaded was terrible. The pitch wasn't even close to being a strike.

Well 2 hits is a start... however, he's got a long way to go as he still looks futile for the most part at the plate.

Prado breaks an 0 for 29 slump with RISP as he ties it in the bottom of the 7th. Hopefully this will get him going.

Prado of all people with a 2 out roped base hit to tie the game... I'm not saying anything. Just sayin...

Apparently shame was the proper motivation to break Prado and Mendoza out of their slumps.
