Im assuming Dwight Freeney will resign eventually. At CB I'm Hoping we can add Leon Hall or Powers and then maybe only go with 7 DL . Long Snapper?? Who knows.
ILB Depth is a problem.

Overall this is a rock solid roster.

Excellent effort and I would say very close barring injuries. We both know some things will change but the only change I would make is Gunter will play mostly at DE in 3 man fronts and DT in 4 man fronts and will not be at NT.

LS will be an UDFA.

Not sure if all those rookie DBs make the active roster. Kind of see us going with another vet CB.

Unless an OL really impresses in the off/pre season, I'm guessing eight OL since they don't have much ST value.

I was listening to Cards Underground and the suggestion was that they'd go with the rookies at this point and perhaps add a vet DB, if needed, later.

Is Barkley a lock to make the team? He doesn't seem to be the QB of the future and that would open up a spot for another player. Not sure if they would consider only going into the season with two QBs.

This is exactly what is going to happen. They have said it probably a half dozen times already since the draft.

I hope he earns a spot after all we gave up a 7th round pick this year for him.

In a question and answer session between Kent Somers and Bruce Arians, I found his comment about Jake Coker very interesting. I'm guessing Arians wants to give him a legitimate opportunity to compete at QB with Barkley.

A: I was looking to see if there was going to be a quarterback and there was never (a time). A quarterback was always in this other column and a standout player was here. You can’t do it. You have to stay with the board.

I’m really, really excited about having Jake Coker come in and compete as an undrafted player. You just watched him grow his senior year. I’m really anxious to get my hands on him.

I think at least one less LB makes the team. I doubt Martin makes it, and I don't think it is a lock that Freeney is signed. Riddick will have to show something this training camp since he essentially was given a red shirt year.

This roster is too rich at RB. Its too thin at ILB. Trade? Ellington for?

Based on what we saw from the draft and undrafted free agency, I don't think BASK agrees with you.

The team is content with Minter and Bucannon as the starting ILBs, and Demens and Fua as the key backups.

RB too rich? I don't quite agree. You have one bell cow type (DJ), one spot starter (CJ), one change of pace (Ellington), and one special teams guy.

Demens is not on the Team at this time.

We still don't know what Okpalaugo looks like either. He may be good enough to make the team at OLB. Never know.

I will guess Coker makes it over Barkley.

That's the battle I am looking forward to. Even though it won't impact anything to do with the outcome of the season (barring anything drastic), but it will be interesting to see who is going to win the battle for 3rd string

:bigyawn:

:D:D

I don't see either of these QB's amounting to anything that matters 1 to 2 years from now.

This would actually be the last camp and preseason battle I'm looking forward to. I get that it is a QB battle and QB's get the most attention, to each their own.

I don't see enough surprises in these...

how about Lamar Louis takes Gabe Martin's spot as ILB

Zach Wagenmann outplays both Shaq Riddick and Kareem Martin for a roster spot
