It’s a relationship business, and there are rumblings that Kyler Murray has given the Arizona brass a glowing review of his former teammate Lamb. Would the Cardinals take one, given that they have DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald, and Christian Kirk on their roster, and drafted three of them last year? I’m skeptical, particularly with how nicely a big-time right tackle like Wills would fit the bill. But it’s worth keeping an eye on anyway.

2020 Virtual Draft details:
— Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce the picks from his house in Westchester, NY (as ⁦‪@peter_king‬⁩ said).
— IT departments have completed their work, with cameras installed in the homes of all GMs and coaches. That’ll be on air and for compliance.

Two interesting teams who have been in touch with and monitoring #OU QB Jalen Hurts: The #Packers and the #Chargers. Both had meetings set up with him and have done virtual calls. Both have a veteran (of varying degrees) in as the starter and are expected to look to the future.

More QB draft notes:
— I have not talked to one team that doesn’t have #LSU’s Joe Burrow No. 1 overall.
#UGA QB Jake Fromm is buzzing because of his interviews & he’s a favorite of QB coaches.
— Utah St QB Jordan Love is the true wildcard, with a draft window from No. 5 to 25.

There has been a few Cardinals drafted in the first which never heard from the Cards :)

you’re correct. Because a team brings someone in for a visit means absolutely nothing. Different teams have their own relationships in this process. If memory serves me correctly, Keim admitted as much 2-3 years ago. For instance, the Packers have been “monitoring” and meeting with Jalen Hurts. The Packers are nowhere near a position to take him, unless the shock the world with a blockbuster package to move into (at least) the top 10. The Cardinals brought Gronk in for a visit before the draft, and paid little mind to him. The cardinals likely brought him in as a favor to another team that didn’t want to be on the radar. It’s highly likely that team was in fact the Patriots, given Keims relationship with that front office. There’s so much diversion/smoke and mirrors stuff going on. The fact the Cardinals haven’t spoken to Lamb tells me he is on their radar...

The New England Patriots are almost certainly going to select a quarterback at some point during the 2020 NFL Draft. And they are apparently doing their due diligence on every available option before draft day arrives.

The Patriots have been connected to a number of quarterback prospects so far. Utah State's Jordan Love. Florida International's James Morgan. Even the idea of the team trading up for Justin Herbert has been thrown around.

But now, another quarterback is reportedly on their radar. And that would be James Madison's Ben DiNucci.

2020 NFL Draft: North Texas QB Mason Fine, 49ers have been in contact
The 49ers already have three quarterbacks on their roster, but it never hurts to add more depth.

General manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan don't need to take a quarterback with one of their two first-round picks, but they might be tempted to use one of their five late-round picks on a signal caller if the right player is available.

NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reported Monday that the 49ers have spoken to North Texas quarterback Mason Fine.

NFL announces draft broadcast changes amid coronavirus, including NFL Network-ESPN collaboration
TV broadcast plans for NFL draft
There will still be multiple broadcasts. ABC will have a prime-time broadcast of the first two nights of the draft, which covers the first three rounds. That will be different than the ESPN/NFL Network telecast.

The NFL’s announcement said the ESPN/NFL Network broadcast will originate from ESPN’s studios in Bristol, Connecticut. The people on hand will “adhere to proper social distancing guidelines and local workplace rules” in regards to coronavirus restrictions.

Um, what? Everything i've seen is projecting Hurts in the 3rd to 5th round.

A surprise from @Gil_Brandt, when asked how high Tua Tagovailoa will go in the draft, and whether Miami wants him at 5: “I would not be surprised to see Miami take a position player at that spot. It would not surprise me at all.”

Wisconsin’s Zach Baun, the third-rated linebacker on Mel Kiper Jr.’s board, notified all 32 teams that he testified positive for a diluted sample at the combine that he blamed on drinking too much water for weight-related weigh-in purposes, per league sources.

Here’s an interesting twist regarding Zach Baun testing positive for a diluted sample at combine: Under the NFL’s new CBA, it will not count as a strike against him whereas it would have under the NFL’s old CBA. Therefore, teams don’t believe it will impact his draft status much.

You protect your intentions by not revealing them. Now, this does not apply to the later rounds as much and once you get to about round four, some of those have been in contact with Cardinals and they show their hand but those first two rounds are very cloak and dagger for a lot of teams

One thing remains pretty clear heading into the 2020 NFL Draft: Coaches and evaluators have watched more tape this year than ever before. No workouts, no Pro Days… so much tape. Because there is nothing else to do.
