Apr. 4—Arden Breedlove homered, singled twice and drove in five runs as Austin picked up a 9-6 win over Hazel Green in high school softball Thursday.

Liann Sanchez had a hit and two RBIs for the Black Bears, while Grace Lamb added a solo home run.

Callie Lang tossed a complete game for the win, striking out one in seven innings of work.



Hartselle 9, Scottsboro 0: Bailey Lawrence tossed a complete-game shutout for Hartsell on Thursday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six in six innings of work.

Katie Norgard homered twice and drove in three runs for the Tigers, while Kaelin Perdue added a grand slam. Ryley Cate Wolf had a solo homer and Zoe Hitt had a pair of hits.



Athens 9, Madison Academy 1: Paisley Howell singled and drove in three runs for Athens on Thursday.

Linsley Gillman had two hits and two RBIs for the Golden Eagles, while Caitlyn Tedford added a hit and two RBIs. Jazz Davis singled twice and drove in a run and Jaicey Harty pitched seven innings for the win, striking out three.



Ardmore 11, West Limestone 3: Ellie Riley finished with a pair of hits, including a double, and five RBIs to lead Ardmore on Thursday.

Ragan Brownlow had a hit and two RBIs for the Tigers, while Payton Pennington added two hits, including a double, and one RBI. Addison Mikel pitched seven innings for the win, striking out six.

Lilee Legg had two hits and two RBIs for West Limestone, while Haley Waggoner added a pair of doubles and one RBI.



West Morgan 10, East Lawrence 2: Macie Treadway had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs for West Morgan on Thursday.

Adi Grace Rodgers had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs and Zoey Brewington homered and drove in two runs. Malea Harris and Lanie Witt had two hits and one RBI each.



Athens Bible School 9, Cherokee 3: Brooke Blakely had two hits, including a homer, and four RBIs for Athens Bible School on Thursday.

Reece Braman homered and drove in three runs for the Trojans and Hadley Robison pitched seven innings for the win, striking out four.



Elkmont 13, Brindlee Mountain 1: McKenzie Doner tripled, doubled and drove in two runs in a big win for Elkmont on Thursday.

MJ Woodfin pitched four shutout innings for the win, allowing one hit and one walk with six strikeouts.



Danville 3, Skyline 1: Kate Randolph pitched a complete game for the win for Danville on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit while striking out five.

Aubrey Reed tripled and drove in a run for the Hawks, while Tamara Hutto added a single and one RBI.



Brooks 7, Hatton 1: Brianna Oliver had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for Hatton on Thursday.



Giles County (Tenn.) 9, Lawrence County 7: Alivia Templeton had three hits and one RBI for Lawrence County on Thursday.

Reagan Smith doubled and drove in two runs for the Red Devils, while Tilleigh Allen added a single and two RBIs.



Lawrence County 4, Huntsville 1: Alivia Templeton had two hits and one RBI for Lawrence County on Thursday.

McKinley McCaghren pitched all six innings for the win, allowing one run on three hits with eight strikeouts.



James Clemens 14, Falkville 4: Lily Slayton went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Falkville against Class 7A James Clemens on Thursday.



Lexington 14, Clements 0: Olivia Moody and Peyten Burks had one hit each for Clements on Thursday.



Baseball



West Morgan 12, Good Hope 8: Levi Borden went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs for West Morgan on Thursday.

Carter Stephens had two hits and three RBIs for the Rebels, while Titan Partlow added a triple, double and two RBIs. Conner Rikard pitched seven innings for the win, striking out four.



Priceville 4, West Point 3: Brody Collins had a pair of doubles and two RBIs for Priceville on Thursday.

Tyde Borden pitched six innings for the win, allowing two earned runs on three hits with nine strikeouts.



Athens Bible School 12, Shoals Christian 2: Chandler James went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for Athens Bible on Thursday.

Luke Murrell had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs for the Trojans, while Luke McElyea added two hits and three RBIs. Ryan Faust pitched four innings for the win, walking two and striking out two.



West Limestone 13, St. John Paul II 5: Landon Smith doubled and drove in four runs in a big win for West Limestone on Thursday.

Hayden Hill had a pair of hits, including a triple, and three RBIs for the Wildcats, while Preston Moore added two hits and one RBI. Trent Thornton pitched all seven innings for the win, striking out five.



Clements 5, Wilson 0: Braxton Sims and Grayson Craig had one hit and one RBI each for Clements on Thursday.

Grayson Borden had a pair of hits for the Colts, while Jace Girodo added one RBI. Sims pitched four shutout innings for the win, striking out two.



Lindsay Lane 11, Lexington 1: Grayson Miller pitched six strong innings to earn the win for Lindsay Lane on Thursday, allowing just one run on two hits while striking out 10.

Wyatt Wallace had three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs for the Lions, while Sam Jackson added two hits and drove in four runs.



Ardmore 5, East Limestone 4: Tre Rolin had two hits and two RBIs for Ardmore on Thursday.

Layne Williams had two hits and one RBI for the Tigers, while Keaton Johns and Luke Ezell added one RBI each. Cole Clinard pitched six innings for the win, striking out three.

Leyton Coffman had a hit and one RBI for East Limestone.



Elkmont 27, Brindlee Mountain 3: Layton Schrimsher had a pair of hits and eight RBIs in a blowout win for Elkmont on Thursday.

Lincoln Doner had three hits and three RBIs for the Red Devils, while Jayden Newmann added three hits and two RBIs. Jacoby Phillips had two hits and two RBIs.



Danville 5, East Lawrence 4: Eli Coker tossed a complete game for Danville on Thursday, striking out 10 in seven innings of work.

Cody Barber had two hits and one RBI for the Hawks, while Sawyer Tapscott added three hits, including a pair of doubles.

Daniel Izquierdo had two hits and one RBI for East Lawrence.



Central-Florence 4, Hatton 0: Tasean Love, Taegen Burleson and Ian Crosslin had one hit each for Hatton on Thursday.



Arab 6, Brewer 1: Carson Johnson had a solo homer for Brewer on Thursday.



Muscle Shoals 8, Athens 5: Chase Taylor led Athens with a hit and two RBIs on Thursday. Luke Vaughan had a hit and one RBI for the Golden Eagles.



Cold Springs 8, Falkville 2: Bryant Owens led Falkville with a double and one RBI on Thursday. Peyton Davis added a pair of hits, including a triple, for the Blue Devils.



Soccer



West Morgan boys 10, Danville 0: Landon Henderson scored four goals to lead West Morgan on Thursday.

Johnny Ruiz, Estafano Blanco, Angel Romero, Mason Sinclair, Alex Mendez and Hosvaldo Barrentios added one goal each for the Rebels.
