Mar. 28—MURFREESBORO — JuliAnn Kyle was unstoppable on Thursday, striking out 17 batters in a 1-0 win over Rock Island in softball action.

Kyle allowed just one hit in a complete game win and also knocked in the winning run, finishing with a hit and an RBI.

The win pushed the Wildcats to 23-2 so far on the season.



Austin 16, Bob Jones 6: Arden Breedlove was four-for-five at the plate Thursday with a home run and two RBIs.

Callie Lang added three hits and three RBIs, while Zyan Moore had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.



Whitesburg Christian 6, Decatur 5: Charlotte Stephenson had two hits for Decatur as the Red Raiders lost on a walk-off hit.



Westminster Christian 4, Elkmont 2: Nyla Parker pitched a complete game for the Red Devils, allowing nine hits and four runs with 11 strikeouts.

Avery Harwell had two hits and an RBI.



Baseball



Priceville 11, Maryville Christian 1: Tyde Borden had a massive day for the Bulldogs, finishing with three hits, including a home run, and six RBIs.

Borden also got the win on the mound, allowing no hits and no runs in three innings with nine strikeouts.



Hartselle 6, Smiths Station 0: Witt Crisler had two hits and two RBIs for Hartselle in a win on Thursday.

Easton Nelms and Ty Marsh each added two hits and an RBI.



Lawrence County 10, Hanceville 0: Parker Frost went three-for-four at the plate on Thursday in a big win.

Frost blasted a home run and finished the game with four RBIs.

Jackson Smith got the shutout win on the mound, allowing three hits with six strikeouts. Caden Norwood added three hits.



West Morgan 5, Decatur 4: Conner Rikard scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning Thursday to give West Morgan a win in a tight contest.

Tyler Stalls led West Morgan with two hits and two RBIs. Trey Greenwell had a hit, an RBI and scored two runs for Decatur.



Hartselle 4, Clarksville 2: Cruise Baler blasted a three-run home run to give Hartselle a win on Thursday.



Lawrence County 13. Douglas 3: Ty Henderson had two hits, three RBIs and scored two runs for the Red Devils on Thursday.



East Limestone 2, Elkmont 1: Cole Vining had a two-RBI hit Thursday to lead his team to a win.

Jake Guthrie and Layton Schrimsher each had two hits to lead Elkmont.



Homewood 8, Hatton 3: Jalen Heaps led Hatton with two hits and an RBI.

Bryson Jeffreys added a hit and scored two runs.
