Jazz update: Utah won its first preseason games against the Los Angeles Lakers in Hawaii. Gordon Hayward averaged 19.3 points and Derrick Favors added 16.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in a frontcourt that also features rising star Rudy Gobert. The Jazz lost point guard Dante Exum for the season to a torn ACL in his left knee. That has helped Tucson Palo Verde graduate Bryce Cotton’s chances of making the team after finishing last season with Utah.

Archie Goodwin is very hesitant to shoot the ball early in the game but Markieff is not shy with 8 points.

Markieff said something to the effect he wants to be a Sun and his behavior has been positive since media day.

When McD took over 2 years ago he dealt Gortat after preseason even though they said they'd hold onto him. I'm hoping the same happens with Kieff, if they could get a projected mid 1st round pick for him they should take that if they don't have to take anything but expiring contracts back.

Thus far, Ronnie Price has done a better running the team as evidenced by the Suns coming back to lead the game.

I'm just saying the offense did not run well with Knight in the game nothing more. The kinks will likely get worked out.

This is true. I think it is a combination of the unit on the floor and Gobert wreaking havoc.

Cory Jefferson is one big body. I think he has a chance to hang with the Suns 15 man roster.

I have to give it to McDonough, he has added some real size to the Suns roster.

Brandon Knight is now showing his stuff with 7 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. He seems to be much more confident running the Suns. It was undoubtedly just a matter of time. Playing without Bledsoe should get him more acclimated.

Watching Alex Len tonight is worth the price of admission. He has 21 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks thus far.

Disappointed with Hornacek's rotations. Leuer didn't get any minutes until the second half. He has done this a few times during the regular season with the younger players also. They put on a good performance and then don't see any minutes for a while.

He has a lot of players and a limited amount of time to see how they fit together.

I soo wanted to go to this game. Ticket prices are high imo on all the websites. $50 or less for lower level would be ok for me. I just don't get why ticket prices are so high for a dead arena.

As discussed in the "Is Jon Leuer for real?" thread, the worst part is that Horny already announced to the Press that Leuer is probably not going to make the rotation. I don't like that kind of negative motivation.
