Really impressed with Booker so far. Sure it's against bench players but he's shown a level of poise and decision making that one wouldn't expect from a rookie.

I know it's early but Booker could be a special player. As you say, he is so poised and he is already a skilled player.

Schoolyard ball? Pre-season or not you can't win just trying to outscore everyone. Hornacek should already start benching players who won't play tough D and send messages early.

None of the rim protectors played and both teams went deep into their roster. And it was an overtime game. I'm okay with the idea of benching for poor effort but I wouldn't read anything into this game.

Hornacek pretty much said so. I got this quote from a Paul Coro article at azcentral dated 10-13-15.

“That was just pickup game down at the park,” Hornacek said. “They were missing shots and layups and we came down and got back in the game. Those guys fought. They were down 17 going into the fourth quarter. They didn’t quit on it. They kept going. We made some plays that obviously they’ll think back on and say, ‘Why did we do that?’ But that’s part of when you’ve got a bunch of young guys out there together. I think they’ll learn the importance of what happens at the end of a game.”

Catlover is correct, the Suns were without their rim protectors in Tyson Chandler and Alex Len. However, Houston was without big men Dwight Howard and Donatas Motiejunas.

The Suns left the middle open too much for my liking plus they were not getting out to defend the 3 point shot. It always seems that Houston is a factory in producing big men.

I have wanted the Suns to keep two big men to fill out their 15 man roster. However, after last night I'm starting to wonder if the Suns should carry another PG plus a big man to fill their remaininng two slots. When Ronnie Price fouled out in OT, the Suns fell apart.

It's great to see you posting in the Suns forum WildBB.
