Ish Smith should be kept over Marshall
Marhsall's contract is already guaranteed for this season. So it's more likely between Christmas and Smith. Smith made some shots but also stalled the offense a few times. Christmas was shooting really well. Right now I'd keep Christmas over Smith if it came to that.

I liked the way Len finished the game, 6 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Final score: Suns 106, Spurs 99.

I was impressed by both the rooks today. Archie played some respectable D on Ginobili. Len showed his potential with some really nice post moves and his length on defense really changed some shots

Same here. Tucker is solid.

I'm surprised the Spurs played their big four (Parker, Duncan, Ginobili and Maggette) so many minutes in an early preseason game. The Suns held their own and then some.

Maggette is part of a big 4???? Corey Maggette??

Len with a nice game :) liked Green and Tucker's energy.

Bledsoe cannot shoot to save his life. Looks like he didn't spend much time in TC practicing on his shot. Disappointing.

I think Smith has a guaranteed salary of $985,000 while Marshall has a guaranteed salary of $2,005,560. I'd rather lose money by cutting Marshall if he cannot be traded. IMO, Christmas is a keeper unless one is just looking to save money as his salary is not fully guaranteed. Maybe the Suns package Marshall in a trade.

I like both, especially after they get a couple of seasons under their belt.

I'm not really sure if it's worth it to cut Kendall with his $2M salary just to keep Smith. He hasn't shown to be much better in his brief career to justify such a move.

I would like to keep Christmas too, but let's assume that Marshall won't be cut and that Lee and Nunnally both will. Now, barring any trades that create a roster spot, the Suns still have to cut one more player among Christmas, Kravtsov and Smith to trim the roster to 15. Who's it going to be?

I haven't seen any of them play enough to have an opinion, but we don't have a surplus of bigs and K. is doing okay so why we would cut him? Actually I think Hornacek and McD have a 'shopping' list of guys they don't see as part of this teams future - probably Marshall, Brown, the Morris boys, Frye and Gortat. Maybe one of them will be moved in time... I'm hoping for Gortat since he is the only net positive player of the bunch and a virtual lock to leave by the 13-14 season so he is the deadest of the dead wood. And the biggest threat of our draft position next June.

I guess in that scenario, if it must be, the cut would be Christmas. However, I like what I have seen of him.

Kravtsov should be trade bait if nothing else. Also I think Smith has trade value as well. Christmas likely does not have trade value right now so he would be the odd man out. However, I just don't see Marshall being with the Suns all season. They will need another PG and Smith is good as any for a third PG. Also, as noted, his salary is guaranteed.

The Suns need to do a trade and Marshall should be included in one.

Anyone else think Goodwin looks a little bigger than in summer league? His shoulders are starting to fill out a lil bit.

I want to keep all our bigs. They definitely want to move Gortat so you need an insurance big besides Frye, that's Slava. Especially since Len is just a rookie and Plumlee only is one year in.

I don't really care if we keep Christmas or Nunnaly. Neither will see any meaningful playing time during the regular season.

My prediction...

Bledsoe-Marshall
Dragic-Goodwin-Brown-Christmas/Nunnaly
Mook Morris-Tucker-Green
Keef Morris-Frye
Gortat-Len-Plumlee-Slava
