Prison Break Renewed for Season Two
Source: Variety
March 28, 2006

Fox has given an early second-season renewal to the 20th Century Fox TV-produced suspense thriller Prison Break, which returned to strong ratings last week after a four-month hiatus, reports Variety.

The pickup follows earlier renewals for American Idol, Bones, The Simpsons, King of the Hill and Family Guy.

In its two Monday 8 p.m. airings, Prison Break has increased Fox's season-to-date ratings in the slot 57% among adults 18-49, averaging a 4.4/12. The series' performance is even more impressive among adults 18-34, improving Fox's numbers by 81%.

Paul Scheuring created Prison Break and executive produces along with Dawn Parouse, Marty Adelstein, Neal Moritz and Brett Ratner.

this kinda sucks...this should only be a one season show......now they are going to just keep dragging it on. the worst thing that ever happened to this show is that it got popular.

Wooo....next week, they break out! Or at least start it...

Good episode tonight, albeit with some unrealistic things happening...but still, very intense...I love this show.

They tease us!

Tonight's was good, albeit it a bit slow...

Next week it begins...too bad the previews gave some things away.

I'm glad I didn't watch the preview for next week. I can't believe they're going to drag this out for another whole season though...

Yes I figured that, or the whole vice president thing, which is kind of kooky, but hey, its fun.

Well, they're out.

Almost seems disappointing now, doesn't it? :)

I actually fast forwarded a bit during their escape, especially on the wire crawl from the medical office to outside.

Also...maybe I missed it, but WHY did they need that hole in the guards room where they dropped the head officer, whayever his name is?

They didn't use the hole, or go down through it...the whole point of it was to make the floor easy to break through...

Hmmm good point about the hole in the guard shack. They must not have gone through because the guards were up there.

I think the deal was that they had to get under the floor so they could break holes in the walls underneath the shack.

No, I figured it out...

THe original plan was to leave from that room while they were doing their work program...but since that didn't happen because of of the pipe, they had to come back out and close it up.

Who was he kidding though? Thats the kind of kid that got heckled in middle school on his physical fitness test when he couldn't do a single pull up, and he thinks he's going to get across on that cable?

Well, that was quite a season...

I don't know how they will get away from the cops, with helicopters and the plane having left them...but we'll see.

A lot has been set up for next season...

I can't believe Abruzi cut off that weasel's hand, holy crap!

And the VP kills the President...and you were thinking it was the other way.

That was good fun...

I guess I think like Abruzi, because the minute that weasel swallowed the key, I would have said with an evil smile, "Well, there's only one way to get those cuffs off now..."

I loved how the VP killed off the president, then told that cartel rep, "My schedules suddenly got full." I can't believe there's been two more weaselly presidents than 24 and Prison Break! Great writing on those parts of the stories!

actually, i thought right away the water was meant for the president.

anyway, pretty entertaining all around. it will be interesting to see how they get away. also, i loved when the crazy guy noticed himself in the mirror, realized how crazy he looked and then put on that too tiny helmet. very funny. also, is the doc dead? she looked it, but they said "possible d.o.a."
