The Cardinals will be featured on NFL Total Access in the coming minutes. They replay throughout the night.

Turned out to be a complete waste of time. Charles Davis ranked our needs as follows:
1) Free Safety
2) Wide Receiver
3) OLB

National Coverage is pathetic sometimes.

Just the same old stuff. That they don't think he will last the entire season as the starter. Said they think Whiz will start the QB that gives them the best chance to win, and that won't be Leinart. It was a pretty lackluster report compared to most of the other teams.

WTF? How ridiculous. They must just pull crap out of their ass, you'd think they'd pay more attention, we are back to back division champs after all.

Yea they made a big deal about Rolle leaving but said nothing about the trade bringing over Rhodes.......it was pretty much a waste of a report.

NFL Network is 70000000000 times better than ESPN. Use the internet to gather stuff if all you want is good indepth reporting, not going to happen on a natl level, unless Phoenix changes its name to LA, CHicago, NY, Indy, Dallas, etc.....you get the picture.

The only reason Indy gets nat'l press is because of Manning. When he retires it will go back to the backwater destination that it is.

Very true. I was just using it as an example of markets that currently get in depth/quality coverage.

I enjoy listening to Mayock because I have confidence that he actually does in-depth film study. Charlie Casserly and Lombardi are also fairly solid. Used to like Davis, but after today add him to the list of NFL Network imitators like Bucky Brooks, Pat Kirwen (sp?), Jaime Dukes, etc...

Pitiful, plumb pitiful. Jamie Dukes says Leinart's not playing well right now? Really? How does he know that? Did training camp start or preseason games and someone forgot to tell us? Sheesh!

One of the great things....

about being a Cardinals' fan these days is that we're actually pretty good. The networks and most NFL fans won't acknowledge it but we know the truth. I saw one comment over on Yahoo the other day saying we were the worst team in the NFL next to the Lions! Hmmmm?? 27 WINS in the past 3 years/ 4 play-off WINS/ 2 divisional championships/ and a Super Bowl appearance. ...And yet here's some clown saying we're as bad as the Lions. So, let 'em make all the noise they want. I luv' watching the looks on their faces when they have to explain why the Cardinals are winning! Very satisfying! GO CARDS! :)

When NFL Network is at the top of its game, they'll bring in Casserly, Lombardi and Mayock (with rumor stuff from La Conforta) to analyze a pro team in depth. Instead, we got Jamie Dukes and Charles Davis

Last night's "State of the Cardinals" was a lame, lightweight joke. It was pretty clear that Dukes and Davis hadn't done their homework.

You could have gotten more insightful stuff about the Cardinals out of Lindy's Draft Guide.

Dez Bryant? Give me a break. (I guess Jamie or Charles Davis must have assumed that -with Boldin gone - the Cards must desperately need top wideout (ignoring the fact that they did just fine with Fitz and Breaston when Q was sidelined - and that Early Doucet has emerged as a solid #3).

There was, though, one intriguing speculative comment about Leinart - that an underrated Warner attribute was his toughness -the ability to take a terrible pounding and get back up off the mat; implying that Leinart was somewhat more fragile (and less tough than Kurt was). This, by the way, begs the follow-up question: If you believe that Warner took a pounding, didn't this reflect badly on our O-line and shouldn't an OT like C Brown or Campbell be a possibility in the draft??

My take is that they lost their best inside scoop guy in Schefter last year when he went to the "Dark Side." I always made it a point to listen to his reporting as he was spot on on many of his stories.

But I agree with some of the other names mentioned. Casserly, Mayock, Lombardi, and I even like Rich Eisen and Rod Woodson.

I still cant stand Neon, Dukes and Davis.

Ugh, I just can't stand La Canfora. He seems like a hack to me, and he gets smug when he has no reason to be. Case-in-point: When the NFL community was blindsided by the McNabb trade, he tried to take credit. He said something like, 'well I DID mention a mystery team' with kind of a wink-wink, nudge-nudge presentation. Yeah, La Canfora, nobody's buying it!

As to our O-line, I think our problem was our offense. Teams knew that they could tee off on the pass, and they just kept coming and coming and coming and overwhelmed us. With a much more balanced offense this season, I think our O-line will be a lot better.

Warner wouldn't have been able to survive through 37 starts in the last two seasons if the Cardinals OL was as bad as some of these guys seem to think it is.
