Second episode was much better than the season premiere. I just love this show. I find myself downloading the episodes as soon as available...

Psych Renewed for Third Season
Source: Variety
September 15, 2007

USA has ordered a third season of drama "Psych," reports Variety.

The network has picked up 16 episodes of the show, which revolves around a psychic cop (James Roday). Dule Hill, Corbin Bernsen and Maggie Lawson also star.

"The series has been a critical and ratings sensation since it premiered last summer and continues to gain new viewers and grow its fan-base," said USA executive VP of original programming Jeff Wachtel.

Steve Franks (Big Daddy) executive produces "Psych," which is produced by Universal Media Studios and Tagline Pictures.

Can't believe the season finale was last Friday... that was about 8-9 episodes for the season... of course, the season continues in January. Psych and Monk are 'must see TV' for the wife and I. If we are out that night, we TiVo it.

I didn't start watching this until season 2. Someone explain the pineapple thing that keeps popping up.

From TV Guide:

Is this show bananas? Nope, just pineapples. After Roday improvised a hilarious quip using a pineapple in the show’s pilot, the Psych crew tries working a reference to the tropical fruit into the show as often as possible. Pineapple smoothie, anyone?

Last week's episode was pretty funny - Shawn found out that Gus was married.

This week it's murders at an old folks home in an episode called "The Old and the Restless."

This show continues to meet and exceed my expectations. I really enjoy the references to 80s stuff between Shawn and Gus that goes over the heads of others in the presence. Example, when talking with a women from an Environmentalist Company, she asks, "So you believe in Karma?" Gus, "Oh yes, you could say we are Karma Chameleons". Shawn, "We come and we go"

The women just looks at them confused... hilarious.

The other thing that I love is how they make fun of the "Mentalist" in their show and promos... fyi, The Mentalist ripped off their show.
