I'm a little behind watching episodes off my DVR so I just got around to watching an episode from a week or two ago. It's no surprise I loved the show as William Devane has always cracked me up but the episode when he pairs with Carl Weathers is probably the funniest Psych ever.

I thought the show got a little stupid last season but it has bounced back nicely this year. Shawn goes overboard every now and then but it's not as bad as it was. It's still one of the most entertaining shows currently running. If you've given up on this show, do yourself a favor and catch this episode while it's still available on demand.

I just starting watching from S1 on Netflix streaming. It's a good little show. I don't love it, and won't be heartbroken if Netflix pulled it from it's streaming catalog, but I like it.

It's in season 5 right now. I really enjoy the show although at times the antics get a bit much for me. All in all though, if you liked the pilot you should enjoy most of the episodes.

It took me most of S1 to get into the rhythm...but now I can't get enough. I even acquired S5 through nefarious means because I can't get eoungh.

I even find myself saying things like "Whaaat?" and "I've heard it both ways" in everyday conversation.

Great show.

Yeah, that's one of my favorite recurring gags in that show. I forget when but sometime around season 4 that line gets used ON Shawn and it's pretty funny. Also, when you get to it, the episode in season 5 with two older "versions" of Shawn and Gus is my favorite. IIRC, the retired cops are played by William Devane and Carl Weathers. Hopefully, they show up again.

Yeah, just watched that one last night. Good stuff, though overall, I think S5 isn't as good as the others. I'm looking forward to another Mr. Yin finale, though.

Actually, I thought season 4 was a little weaker but finished strong. So far, 5 has been pretty good for me.

My daughter is 12 and has been watching on Netflix. I haven't really seen many episodes, but so far it seems like it's ok for her age. She's pretty sharp & fairly mature for her age...anyone have any input on whether or not you would think this is a bad show for her?

I really want to let her watch it--she's torqued I won't let her watch How I Met Your Mother or Futurama...(or Family Guy for that matter).

My kids, ranging in ages from 18 to 7, love the show. The two youngest don't watch it as much, but my cerebral 11-year old loves it and watched all of the available seasons with his older siblings. Since my wife and I have also seen most of them, we are comfortable with them watching them. Even "scary" themes are done with lighthearted humor.

My 8 year old asked me the other day when the show is coming back on. He walks around singing the theme song.

Awesome. Thanks for the replies. I really didn't want to have to give her another, "You can't watch that" mandate. :)

"Oh, you mean my pilot's license? That's out back in the Cessna. Or perhaps you're referring to my license to kill. Revoked. Trouble at the Kazakhstan border. I could give you the details but then I'd have to kill you, which I can't do because my license to kill has been revoked." - Shawn to his dad

LOL

Watching reruns. Already saw them originally, and own the DVD sets, but we just can't change the channel. Love this show !!

Psych had a Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers song on it last night ("Heaven on a Paper Plate"). They also had "Sleep Like a Baby" on a few seasons ago.

Someone over there must be an RCPM fan.

So far this season I think they're trying to be TOO cute. I think they're taking their schtick a little too far. I still like it, but it seems more forced to me this season.

I've felt that way at several times during this show's run. I still enjoy it but I've always felt it could be improved if they let an adult have the final say on their routines. As for Clyne, I've always liked the fact that they write in parts for the stars, bit players and musical heros from their younger days.
