Puka Nacua's mom posts heartfelt message to Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua hasn't been shy about his appreciation for Cooper Kupp during the first two years of his NFL career. The young wideout said it was "a blessing" to be Kupp's teammate and that the veteran was "the perfect example" to learn from early in his career.

The bond between Kupp and Nacua even extended to Nacua's mom, who watched the two grow together as friends and teammates from afar. Penina Nacua thanked Kupp in an X post for helping her son and for being a great mentor.

Nacua blossomed into one of the best young receivers in the NFL under Kupp's tutelage. He's already caught 184 receptions for 2,476 yards and nine touchdowns in 28 career games. He and Kupp were a fantastic receiving duo for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford when they were both on the field together, but injuries to for players forced them to play without the other a few times over the past two seasons.

While Nacua will remain with the Rams as the No. 1 pass-catcher alongside Davante Adams, Kupp is headed elsewhere after Los Angeles cut him. His next landing spot is still to be determined, but Kupp will inevitably always have a fan in Nacua and his mother.
