Well, that makes sense then. My apologies to Mr. Stone.

How nice is that weight room?

I noticed in a lot of those shots they are using the 'older' type Nautilus equipment.

Thanks Jim. I noticed Brian Gilmore wasn't one of the guys listed as participating in the work outs.

Seeing those guys do leg lifts, I did legs last night at the gym and feel like I'm walking on rubber today.

Fans have been asking about which Cards players have been working out. Some of the guys spotted….. Marcus Bell, Steve Bush, Anthony Clement, James Darling, Russell Davis, Lorenzo Diamond, Levar Fisher, Frank Garcia, Bryan Gilmore, Quentin Harris, Gerald Hayes, Renaldo Hill, Nathan Hodel, Bryant Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Freddie Jones, Kevin Kasper, Kenny King, Jason McAddley, Josh McCown, Ron McKinnon, Calvin Pace, Preston Parsons, Nate Poole, Neil Rackers, Josh Scobey, LJ Shelton, Marcel Shipp, Emmitt Smith, Cameron Spikes, Michael Stone, Barron Tanner, Fred Wakefield, Adrian Wilson, LeVar Woods, and Tony Wragge.

I see Bryans name, But I dont see Leonard Davis

I was hoping this new new guy was not another High Intensity guy!

There was just an article in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research that showed that High Intensity Training (HIT) is inferior to multi-set weight training for the purpose of improving strength. This is the current consensus in the recent research. It baffles me why so many NFL strength coaches still use the HIT method. Wetzel said about 1/3 of the teams use it. I believe that number was much higher about 3-5 years ago.

I also disagree with machine based training as you usually do not have to stabilize your core muscles (abs & low back) during the exercise because the machine stabilizes you. There is a big difference in core muscle recruitment between doing a free weight squat and a seated leg press or even worse a leg extension as shown in two of the pictures. There is no use in athletics for a leg extension exercise unless you are training yourself to sit on a bench and kick your legs back and forth.

Note also that Anquan Boldin's name isn't on that list.
