You do realize that if he could simply win contested catches, that would be transcendent, right? Tons more TDs and yards.
And the board consensus, even though a few of us disagreed, was that he was a wasted pick and trash. The board was wrong then. They’re wrong again.
That’s why I specified age. Year two for Fitz is the biologically appropriate comp to Harrison’s rookie year.

Marv hasn't been, and neither has Odunze, a favourite for some on this board, for a myriad of reasons that many have enumerated.
Fitz wasn't in year one, either.
Fitz had the worst combo of QBs ever, came on to a team that already had a #1 option at a time, all while the league was nowhere to close to where it is now as far as passing game is concerned, AND the league played 1 fewer game per season.Marv hasn't been, and neither has Odunze, a favourite for some on this board, for a myriad of reasons that many have enumerated.

I know you didn't come up with this term, but I hate it in regards to these rookie prospects. Talk about setting up players to be disappointments. That was a dumb take then. MHJ came in with a lot more expectation and while he's been a good rookie, he was supposed to be transcendent.
Here is where I take a silver lining approach. If this version of MHJ can put up these numbers...an improved version should only improve of those.Au contraire, very highly aware of Fitz' rookie stats. That is the baseline, and the numbers are close rn.
But apparently you don't have eyes if you think that Marv is playing anywhere near his potential with the drops, the weak effort on 50/50 balls, not understanding how to come back to the ball, etc. That's not the transcendent player fans and analysts were expecting to see. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.
Add that to your encyclopedia of things you are naive about.
Slight disagreement on Fitz as a prospect. He was considered a very high level prospect who only lacked top end speed. While Fitz was a blue chipper coming out he didn’t have Marvs pub or fanfare.
I truly hope he will be great next season.
No doubt he was not a problem in that quarter, he was great. But there are 59 other quarters.mhj went for 130 yards and 2 tds IN THE FIRST FREAKIN QUARTER of a game during his ROOKIE FREAKIN SEASON
he is who we thought he was - he's not the problem
Cooper Rush threw for 3 TDs against Panthers defense.I have the answer but you won’t like it.

Come back when Kyler proves he hasn't turned into a noodle-armed Checkdown Charlie. It's clear to see that there are plays to go downfield; he instead stands there, or flushes out of the pocket, and either dumps it off, takes the sack, or throws it away. It's a conservative offense, but Kyler significantly inhibits the passing scheme, too.Cooper Rush threw for 3 TDs against Panthers defense.
Our passing scheme is the worst in the NFL. If you think all our passing issues are on K1 I got news for you.

I'm a HUGE fan of Marv. For me, it was either him or Alt in this draft and that was it.Marv hasn't been, and neither has Odunze, a favourite for some on this board, for a myriad of reasons that many have enumerated.

I don't absolve K1 of partial blame he is the QB so of course its also on him. Petard though is also part of this puzzle and he comes from a run dominant offense that was in the toilet for years. He has brought that same mentality here and we are seeing lows at every position outside of RB & TE. We don't have a single WR anywhere near 1000 yards for a 17 game season.Come back when Kyler proves he hasn't turned into a noodle-armed Checkdown Charlie. Dude thats Rams secondary was missing 3 starters and those yards came off of two catches on busted coverage. That same game he missed out on two easy TDs because his hands are terrible. The guy he smoked isnt even on the team anymore. His only other 100 yard game came against a Miami secondary that was missing two starters.mhj went for 130 yards and 2 tds IN THE FIRST FREAKIN QUARTER of a game during his ROOKIE FREAKIN SEASON

That's not really relevant.Age 22 season:
Larry - 103/1409/10 (16 games)
Marv - 51/726/7 (15 games)
How did that same OC get Murray to throw 10 TDs in 8 games last year? Did Petz change the system this year?I don't absolve K1 of partial blame he is the QB so of course its also on him. I can't see MO running this offense back next year without changes to either QB, OC, and or other coaches. He drafted CHJ at 4 and he can't be happy seeing his new toy get frozen out of an outdated offense.
The main difference this year was our goal to go running game was nearly unstoppable. A lot of the potential TDs went to Conner. How did that same OC get Murray to throw 10 TDs in 8 games last year? Did Petz change the system this year?
