Facts are we had 'backstage passes' and my wife, being a huge LSU fan, wanted Early Doucet's autograph. I snapped the pic while we were waiting for the players to come out.

The fact that Early turned out to be a bum didn't enter the equation at the time. :D

So instead of celebrating you were star gazing :)

Really?!?!

What saddened me was watching Q walk out the tunnel with his agent while the rest of the team was celebrating the NFC championship!!!
I was busy celebrating in the stands of the full endzone, had no idea about it until I read it

There is a couple of ways to look at Q. The easiest one (and the one spun out there by the Cardinal marketing folks) says Q was a "me-me-me" take his ball and go home pouting player. I seem to remember his teammates fully supporting him and standing beside him.

Another perspective would be Q being a man of conviction. He said he was "lied to" by presumably someone in the F.O. IIRC, the organization did approach him a final time in hopes of reconciliation (remember when KW offered to skim $ off the top of his deal if they would use it for Anquan), and Q stuck to his guns.

The dude played hard for us until the day he left. That saga played out for almost 2 seasons and you wouldn't know it based on his play. So what if he didn't stick around for the confetti drop. He still strapped up and played his ass off.

Q deserves to be in the HOF. I hope he gets there.
I remember something about whiz telling him to just sign something and that was that

Q = Cardinals ROH?

What do you guys think?

I say yes. They should just put the initials GAM up. ;)

Fitz, Q, Dockett, Wilson and Boldin were the PLAYERS who changed the perception of this franchise among NFL players around the league. they started here during the darkest of days, yet signed at least two deals after their rookie deal. This was a franchise that had basically NEVER kept their best drafted players in house.

I am not going to throw guys like Warner or Berry in there as they were free agents who had been successful elsewhere.

Q was badass but honestly he left during a rebuild. Fitz stayed. Q made the best choice for his career and family, I don't fault him. But Fitz to me is like an Adub type loyal player. That's so rare in the NFL today. Really rare.

Dark, I agree. An NFL career is incredibly difficult to achieve then keep. Then to stay with that team through several coaching changes, losing seasons, hail.. playing on a local college teams field! Seems so long ago now but Fitz is still here a the fans favorite. His career will be a movie someday and I feel I should get a cut......

Aren't Q and Boldin one in the same? [emoji12]

Warner is already in the RoH. I'm torn on Dockett and Q... However, since Kurt is already up there, it seems inappropriate to leave out Q and Dock...
Berry? Hell no... I love Bertrand, but there is now way he is worthy of the RoH...

I see zero chance. LOVED his time as a Cardinal, but between his attitude at the end of his tenure with the Cardinals, and the fact that by the time he retires he will have spent less than half his career with the Cardinals, i don't think he deserves it.

Considering only his stats... he was only in Arizona for 7 years, and though his 7529 yards and 44 TDs (12.8ypc) were great and really fun to watch, it's just not good enough considering that Roy Green (12 years in St. Louis & Arizona, 8496-66, 16.3 ypc) and Hall of Famer Jackie Smith (15 years in St. Louis, 7918-40, 16.5 ypc at the TE position!) aren't in the ROH.

(Heck, Ottis Anderson with his 7999 rushing yards / 46 TDs, and Jim Hart with almost 35,000 passing yards and 200+ TDs aren't in the ring!)

I get that the things Boldin has over all of them are that he played in Arizona and was part of turning around the team from perennial doormat to NFC Champions, but i don't think that's enough to overcome his short tenure and lack of numbers (in a much more passing-oriented era) compared to other Cardinals who are not in the Ring.

Q makes me sad. He could have been recognized as one of the top Cards players ever but he got all emotional and screwed it all up. Maybe in the long run he did what was best for his family $$$$$ wise but I'm not so sure of that.

I will always respect how much of a GAM he is but will feel sad about how he handled some of the tough choices he had to make. Yes Haley had a plan and yes it worked so sorry if it didn't include you at that one moment.

Team going to the SB and pout like a 4 year old, really?

Only out 2 weeks with a broken face, GAM.

I could back and forth on the pros and cons but the bottom line is he, like DD, burnt the bridge when they left. Very sad but it is what it is. No ROH for either of them.

I don't see any way he gets into the ROH. But I am really glad he got his ring.....

Just like a jilted lover, I think many of us (me included) love Q quite a bit more than he ever loved us.

Not so sure about that and I'm an admitted Q homer... But that dude was more generous and caring toward fans then any I have ever seen... The only two that were even close and equally as classy toward his/Card fans were Jake Plummer and Kurt Warner. These guys would make sure they stayed after EVERY practice. Would take photo ops and sign everybody's stuff that wanted after every practice including after the later practice during two a days... Always cordial and professional and a gentleman to everyone he encountered even during his "feud" with the team... His beef was with management and imo mostly Whisenhunt not the fans...
