Boldin should be rated a lot higher he is better then most of the wr's in the league and makes amazing moves when he catches the ball to get extra yards. That is a major diss to boldin imo

Maybe King should have a quick look at a majority of our avators...they all seem to show Boldin abusing someone in the secondary. I would like someone to find more pics of a WR that punishes the defense more instead of the other way around

I know most everyone hates T.O. and that's fine. king put him like in the 90's. don't forget he led the league in TD's. I think the highest cowboy was Dware which was in the 60's. How do you put a rookie that has never caught a pass ahead of Q or a WR like T.O. who has HOF numbers and led the league in TD's last season?

there are a lot of nfl safties that hit hard. john lynch, sean taylor, rodney harrison, roy williams to name a few.

BTW, all four of those guys have Big Hitter Weapon in Madden, and Lynch and Harrison also have Smart Safety.

Sorry, but Wilson not having a Weapon while being a pro-bowler and one of the best at his position in the league, top three according to many, is definitely disrespect.

I'm not saying whose better. I don't see enough from wilson to judge him that way. I simply pointed out guys who hit as hard or harder. those others are also great playmakers like wilson. they create multiple turnovers. I've obviously seen a lot of roy williams. at OU and in dallas. he is a beast when it comes to hitting. roy williams also took part in 8 or 9 turnovers last season. he also had a TD called back on a b.s. call. not bad for a guy that can't cover and makes the pro-bowl off reputation alone. let's not forget about that sanders guy either.

Sanders has smart safety weapon.

That's my point...all the good safeties in the game have a weapon in madden. Except Adub.

BS.

It's real simple. Lets go out & win games, make the playoffs, go deep in the playoffs. Then lets see how he ranks us.

I for one dont expect much repect until we EARN it.

I agree 100%. which is why there is no way in heck that calvin johnson should be ranked ahead of Q or T.O. unless i heard wrong. or ketchup ward for that matter. I'm surprised a retired keyshawn isn't there. ward is a possession guy at best. unless they run a reverse pass.

Ward is getting up there in age but he is much much more than a possession guy. Ward was one of the players Boldin was compared to when he got into the league and I felt good when that comparison was made.

I agree with that two years ago and previous. but he does not stretch the field like owens or boldin. nor is he as physical, he may be as physical pound for pound i guess. either way ward is a good WR. but not better than Q or owens. no way.

Ward was and is a very good reciever. however he just flat out is not in Boldin's league anymore. Quan is in his prime right now and Ward is 3 years past his and injury-prone.

And while I would much rather have him on my team than Owens, he isn't the better player out of the two.

Tale of Two Slot Receivers

There is no way on earth that anyone can tell me Wes Welker is better than Quan without getting laughed at.

CFMD:

Well, since the Patriots don't need Welker to return kicks and punts, I guess his value this season should be measured only by how he produces as a receiver. So let's review the week 1 box scores, shall we?

Wes Welker 6-61 1TD LG13
Anquan Boldin 4-22 1TD LG7

Doesn't look like a laughable comparison so far, eh? Just for grins, I'm gonna keep an eye on this matchup as the season progresses. And hope--for the Cardinals sake--that Boldin has better weeks than this one.

How did your fins do this week? Oh yeah, they lost, same as us. Why are you here again? Talk to us at the end of the year, and see who has had a better season, Welker or Boldin.

I'm always here. I root for the Cards and the Dolphins, as I've said many times. And since both teams had last-minute three-point road losses to mediocre opponents, and get a couple of last year's playoff teams for their home openers next week, it's already starting to look like a long season. :(

Is that supposed to be a joke? That was such a pathetic arguement I normally would ignore you, but since i have nothing better to do with my time I will enlighten you a bit. Pay close attention here, you should be able to take something away from this.

First, to take one game's stats is ridiculous. No wait, its ignorant, ******** and/or flat out stupid. Whats more, the Jet's secondary is putrid whereas the 49ers is pretty damn good. Welker faced a pathetic nickel back while Boldin faced a Pro Bowler. Do I even need to bring Tom Brady into the conversation?

If you want to go by stats lets go by what they have done throughout their career. Oh wait, Boldin's career numbers smash Welker's. Oops my bad. Dude we all know you are a Dolphin fan, your man love here reeks of it.

CFMD:

Yeah, it was. And you clearly didn't get it. Just like you didn't get that Peter King rated Wes Welker as a receiver and returner, and that's why he was ranked a handful of spots ahead of Anquan Boldin on King's list.

I fully expect Boldin to have a better season than Welker. (If he doesn't, the Cardinals are in deep trouble.) I just thought it was funny, after yours and others' dismissive comments, that Welker had better stats in game one.

Sorry about the timing, though. I shoulda known it wouldn't go over well after watching the Cards cough up a hairball on national TV.

I am tired of hearing this "he's a returner also so it makes him more valuable" nonsense. Some players like Boldin are TOO VALUABLE to be used on SP.

Sorry for jumping all over you though. My bad. As you said, now is not a good time.

this is true.......many would not want owens on their team. but he is clearly a top 5 WR in the league.
