he's a much better player than Kordell so I don't care if he is selfish.

Blake isn't going to be the Groom McCown guy, but either would Kordell he's the worst guy to teach Josh anything.

Sign Blake and my doom and gloom outlook will get a lot better quickly. Blake is not a superstar but he's a good NFL QB he will help this team immensely. Too bad he won't get the chance to throw the ball to Boston.

One point with Blake is Gilmore and Martay(if back) might be more of a factor since Blake has the arm to get the ball downfield to them. Same with McAddley don't expect to see lots of WR's waiting for the ball deep like we saw with Jake.

russ..I agree 100%. get blake. I would rather have greise in a close call..but we cannot wait:

1. by having no qb until june, our signing of FAs will be more difficult than it is already..and whoever it is needs to start learning the playbook now.

2. Blake came in and said wonderful things...griese seems to be daydreaming about playing in miami..it is almost like he would rather be a backup in miami than play for a bad team..makes me wonder.

3. blake - you know what you are getting..griese may have more upside..but not enough so that we can roll the dice and hope to get him.

sign blake now. cross your fingers that kordell signs with the bears.. by the way.. the scott turdow was on the air ripping on the cardinals..big point..sign guys when they are here..do not let them leave. he said we would have kordell and colvin if we took this approach..personally - he is wrong on these 2 guys.. no way do I want kordell..and colvin would not have signed here anyway..although i agree in principle..if you following his thought process we would have kordell and not colvin..

Prediction - We'll sign Kordell Stewart within 48 hours. My reasoning: Kordell has run out of places to visit and hondle. The appearance of Blake in AZ jeopardizes his last best shot. Steinberg will advise him - "Time to stop playing cute. Sign with the Cards before they sign Blake."

Jeff your post make sense unless he takes the Bears offer which may be just under the Cards. My thought that if the Cards were around $500,000 a year over the Bears he would come to the Cards. If we are only a couple hundred thou over the Bears he may go there. Of course I do not think the Bears will guarantee him they will not draft a QB. The next two days are really critical when it comes to a QB as we may have just a little leverage for once in that we have two offers out there to two QB's and one may blink.
