I think John Skelton wins the job. Kolb will be number two and Lindley the three spot. I predict Skelton throws for 25tds 12ints and 3500 yards. I think we will run alot more with Beanie and Williams and have a solid offense. Not a great one but will be alot more balanced. What do ya'll think?

I say Skelton wins the job too & we still win 5-8 games.

I think we are in trouble and will be looking to draft a qb with our first round pick next year which will probably be a top 5 pick.:(

Really though. Everyone predict the starting QB and what you think his numbers at the end of the year will be.

Skelton. 3500 yards. 18td 14 pick. Manages the games and gets us to 9-7 and a wild card.

I'm still thinking that Kolb will eventually claim the job and be the starter for at least the opener.

Kolb starts the season as the starter. Skelton will take over by week 4 at the latest. And if he's not starting by week 14/15, Lindley will be our starter come 2013. ;)

At this point Kolb hasnt shown jack squat.. Skelton looks better than last year but that only makes him look like an average QB at this point.. Not someone Im comfortable with at the helm..

Its not looking good either way..

I'd love for that to be true if it is we have a good chance of winning the division.

Doom and gloom for doom and gloom's sake, eh? That's a silly and pessimistic line.

Skelton's the better leader, he has much better pocket presence, and he is much much tougher than Kolb.

I don't see a competition here.

Skelton 3200 yards, 27/15

I say let Kolb play himself out of the job. It shouldn't take long.

I feel like if Kolb has just one of his random good stat games (but not necessarily good results) it will "win" him the starting job, no matter what Skelton does. But I agree that even if Kolb wins the job it will only be a few games before he loses it.

I think our home crowd is going to treat him harsher than any Cardinal in recent memory.

So, opperating under the assumption that Skelton starts the majority of our games: 3100 yards, 22 TD 18 INT. Cards go 7-9.

I really hope fans don't boo Kolb en masse. It's not like he came in here with a sense of entitlement like Leinart, or a bad attitude like Anderson. By all accounts he's been a good teammate and tried. He just hasn't gotten it. Hard to boo a guy who isn't a jerk. If someone deserves to be booed because of this God awful QB mess it's Whisenhunt.

Its the way he is struggling. Not that its ever good for the home crowd to boo their own, but you see a guy making the exact same mistakes over and over and over... and in a way that makes him seem like gutless.

Kolb wins the job to open the season by virtue of Whiz being too pigheaded to acknowledge he made a mistake. Why do you think he is saying Kolb gets no protection when he is in there and he picks Skelton's game apart. KOLB WILL START the opener.

Kolb gets injured somewhere between games 4-6, Skelton takes over while Kolb recuperates and is never heard from again. Skelton cannot produce the same magic as last year and PP doesn't win two games with runbacks to save Skelton. The defense doesn't block a kick to save another one for Skelton.

Final results is combined they throw for 3100 yds. 15TDs and 22INTs. Overall record is 6-10.

The off season Whiz brings in FA QBs to interview and either signs another dud or he selects a second rate QB in the draft because Whiz knows QBs. And as a bonus we have another open competition at QB because we all know competition will make a great QB for us.
