Murray is a decent college qb. Is a junior and should stay for his senior season. Small, doesn't have a pro arm. Reminds me of Colt McCoy.

Warmack played very well. Bama rushed for 350 yards. The guy who jumped onto my radar was the ILB from UGA, Ogletree. He hits hard and is evry athletic.

My new choice for our 2013 1st round pick: Bamas entire offensive line.

But for real - Warmack would be cool. Barrett Jones would also be phenominal in the 2nd (or maybe 3rd). Guys dont like him because they hear hes played everywhere on the line, and therefore is just a utility player.

while that true, Jones would be the best LT,G,C,G,RT weve got on this team.

Warmack was a monster out there.

Murray reminds me of many accurate, toothpick, no "it" factor college QB's. I feel the same way about Nassib. I have not been impressed with him once this year.

Maybe in the 3rd, but with our early position in round 2, maybe someone will be aggressive and come up to get him.

Lineman & Pass Rushers. Nothing else matters.

He is also dumb. 15 seconds left and you are about ten yards from the endzone, needing a touchdown to win. Instead of spiking it without any timeouts, he throws it short on a flubber pass with two defenders along the sideline. The guy catches it and goes down with six seconds left and the offense cannot get back to the line to run another play. There were at least 2 or maybe 3 shots into the endzone to win but Murray goes complete bonehead.

Sure seems like a crap yr. to get a QB. We need to go trade or FA.

Murray should stay in another yr. I think. I'm not that enamored by any of them.

Trying to maneuver receivers...... And making a signal like he is going clock it.

Very stupid play right there from a 3-year starter. I wasn't impressed.

Guy tipped it at the line of scrimmage. He was actually going for the end zone on the back receiver. The front guy was the dumb one to catch it not knowing where the defender was and the time evidently.

that pass to me personally looked like it was tipped slightly and was still intended for the guy who could not score...regardless, they should have spiked it and provided themselves some time to think over the shots instead of thinking they would take the defense off guard

I have watched Smith now for 4 years, and while he has some warts, throwing every pass isnt one of them. 80% of his throws in Holgersons offense are under 15 yards. He can make every single throw and then some.

He is completly responsible for reading the defense and changing plays, changing wr routes, changing line protections, etc. He has no problem reading defenses at the college level. And I doubt he will in the pros either. Very smart kid with high IQ and work ethic. To me he is head-and-shoulders above everyone in the draft at QB.....

Warts? he struggled this year when teams threw 8-9 guys at him and he had no threat of a running game. But keep in mind when I say 'struggled' his comp percetage went from 80% to 60%, and td-int ratio went fromm 10-1 to 3-1. Right now he has 38 td's and 5 ints on the season.
Admittedly I don't know a whole lot about Geno Smith, but looking at his stats I would find it hard to believe that he isn't good at reading defenses. I mean he has a 70% completion percentage and has only 5 picks on 466 pass attempts.

70% in college does not mean you can read a defense, it does mean he is accurate. I think Vince Young had one of the highest completion rates his senior year.

Maybe so, but the the completion percentage and interception ratio combined would tell me that he can read a defense. Being accurate alone isn't going to stop you from making poor throwing decisions. Does that mean he will be able to read NFL defenses? Not necessarily, but I feel it does mean that he can read college defenses.

I know he has medical issues, but Jarvis Jones makes plays in every big game he is in it seems.

My only concern with Warmack is he looks sloppy physically which was my concern about Andre Smith when he was drafted out of Alabama. I would just like to see him look more like a workout guy if I am considering taking him in the top 10.

If we are picking in the top 10, there will be better talent than Warmack there. Hes a good Guard, but hes not that good to take in the lottos.

top 10 guys (not in order)

Joeckle LT
Matthews RT
Mingo DE/OLB
Moore DE/OLB
Star DT
Geno QB
Teo ILB
Jones OLB
Milliner CB
Werner DE
- Hankins DT/ Warmack G

Id take almost all of those guy before Warmack. Especially if we make moves to move up, we could get Luke or Teo. I think Matthews will be there for us (although we dont know yet if hes even in the draft yet).

Point being, theres ALOT of solid guards in this draft. We dont need Warmack. Joeckle 1st round, Cooper (G) 2nd round would be a friggin homerun. I also like Barrett Jones for that 2nd round G spot.

I wonder if that was Richt's call to prevent Alabama from subbing in defensive personnel...
