1)OT's-can we just say that in 2011 draft we need a few & high. Levi, Keith, Bridges & Big Baby all struggled in pass protection.

2)Daryl Washington-instinctive & if the Dline continues keeping blockers off of him will be very, very good as a rookie.

3)Hall-Has "it"!!! Understands football & I feel good with him as our backup QB this year.

4)Iwebema-continues took make plays, a major contributor this season.

5)Cody Brown-Cant get off blocks. Show no burst & appears to have no instincts as a OLB & gives little effort.

6)Anderson-Since being named starter, he has been impressive. Been throwing guys open the last 2 games. The passes to Doucet & Williams were great!!!

7)Calias-BEASTLY!!! I think we see him surpass DD as the Cards best Dlineman

8)Beisel-showed tonight he may be back to where he was 2 years ago.

9)Graham-He's now a core player, a weapon!!! 13-21 inside the 20yd line in preseason.

10)Leinart needs to be cut, his time in Az is over & him being on the roster serves no purpose.

Good points Bucky. just a couple of add ons.

As I have watched every preseason game at least one time and most of them more than once. There is a problem in the middle of the Offensive line. I am not bashing Sendlien for a change because I honest can't identify the problem. It seems that the gap on either side of the center is like a superhighway into the Cardinal backfield for opponents. If the rushers came any faster they would kill someone back there. At first I thought it was Faneca, but it just does not seem to make any difference. Quite possibly, it is the backs are not making the right reads on who to block.

The second point is regarding Leinart. You are right he has no value at this point. Everyone figures that we will just cut him. But... as was illustrated by Byron Leftwich tonight qb get hurt and will continue to get hurt. No trade value and him going to a potential division rival vs. holding on to him for six weeks and possibly getting something for him in case someone comes looking for a qb? don't know. just a thought. BTW I think Skelton will make the ps if he is cut.

Perfect pass by Leinart dropped by Williams. Pretty much the only time he's dropped anything and it just happens to be when Leinart's throwing him the ball? Sendlein doesn't even try to block a blitzing LB?

Leinart needs to hope that he's cut at this point.

The o-line looks pathetic and the running game is going to really suffer with Wells hurt. There is a lot more to be worried about than Leinart being run out of town on a rail.

How many years does Grimm need to develop a solid line? Not great, just solid. They still have trouble blocking 5 on 4.

Everyone forgets that Matt is a good b/u. That's what he is. He basically led this team to a W in Tenn last yr. A pretty good team, and that was on the road. The D gave up the W.

Hall looked good too. I think the team responds to him.

We don't lose anything keeping Leinart through the year.

Yep the Oline was my #1 concern heading into camp. Having 4 of 5 new starters is going to take time. The run game has been poor & I just DA is still standing come week 6. Beanie has some sort of knee injury & we can only hope it's nothing serious.

I agree with this. The O-line was NOT SHARP this pre-season. AT ALL.

This is a good thread for the who impressed you and why:

Daryl Washington: Again no explanation needed. this kid is a player. Nuff said.

Kenny Iwebema: Just continues to beat everyone in front of him and making plays.

Onrea Jones: Fabulous game. Just continues to get open and catch everything thrown his way. Kid has been good for two years now. hes trying out for the wrong team. You would think a team like the Bears could use a kid like this.

Derek Anderson: Looked great tonight. Dont know if anyone noticed but at some point in that first drive Doucet lined up on the wrong side. DA immediately recignized it and corrected it pointing him to the other side. Good job DA. Is in tune with what we have been discussing the last week.

Max Hall: Loved what he showed. Just question the talent and schemes he is going against.

Calais Campbell: just shows up n every game so far this pre season.

Most discouraging thing of the night: The #1 D letting the #3 QB of the Redskins and mostly #2 and #3 players march right down the field on them in teh first drive.

DA throws the ball too hard without touch.

Beanie Wells is hurt

Our defense sucks almost as bad as the black uniforms.

real bulletss fly in 10 days and Matt Leinart is the best qb we have by a landslide.

And the Redskins rested 29 players so basically we beat up their scrubs.

I almost agree with everything you stated. I disagree that DA was great though. Had he completed the pass to a WIDE OPEN Spach, then yes, he was great. That was quintessential DA. He will wow us with 2-3 passes every drive & then break our hearts with passes that a HS senior would complete. With Warner, that's either a 1st down or a td 99% of the time. With DA that % comes down significantly. Last night it meant having to settle for 3 in a meaningless game. If he does that against the 49ers, I'll be screaming at the top of my lungs. No doubt that kind of miss will cost us W's. I guarantee Whiz will put more significance to that pass than his previous completions. I'm just not sure my heart can take the beating that DA will put us through. Peaks & Valleys, Peaks & Valleys, Peaks & Valleys. That is DA whether you like it or not. Skelton is useless to us THIS year, so maybe Whiz will keep Leinart around just in case. I'm beginning to think it may be the prudent thing to do.

DA is THE BEST QB on the roster right now.

Beanie will be fine

Our D will be much better this year, the depth at ever position sans LB is much better and guys are healthy.

The black uniforms are freaking awesome

ML may be the best QB stats wise but I want a QB that can move the chains, not one that's going to pass 18-20 for 16 yards and 0TDs. I'm all set with Checkdown Matty thanks.

Lastly do you have anything positive to say about this team? You rip this team apart on almost everything. You're not a 49ers fan are you?

We need a vet backup QB desperately. It may not be Leinart but we need one behind DA because he's not really reliable and neither is our Oline.

I like Max Hall but I'd prefer to give him time to develop and not rely on a guy that did a great job of lighting up a group of guys that will soon be asking "Would you like fries with that?" as our primary backup

They suck, from the stands it is a colorless black and white uniform. No character.no color,no aggressiveness, looks like on old police car .

I will say that the fans wearing them looked ok but the Cardinals are red. Wofley Saying "RISE UP BLACK SEA" just doesn't have a good ring.

I was watching him closely last night and you are right that he really had trouble getting off blocks. There was one play early where he did a nice job of outside contain forced the runner to cut and then Washington made the tackle and he had a couple of plays where he got a decent outside rush, but overall he didn't do much last night.

I still think his athletic ability buys him a spot on the roster to develop, but right now he looks very much like a guy who didn't play at all last year seems to play a bit too upright.

Disagree. Have looked at it 10 times. I fully believe that Spach should have caught the ball. I don't buy the it was to hard excuse. This is the NFL not pop Warner. Favre and elway notoriously threw the ball very hard even when it wasn't necessary. There people still made plays.

I dont think it was too hard of a throw but it was too far ahead. He didnt have to lead so much. He was wide open.

When Elway arrived at Stanford they started talking about something they called the "Elway cross" which was the mark the point of the football left on receivers, backs and TE's because Elway threw it so hard that if you didn't catch it with your hands the ball would bury into your chest and leave a mark.

Maybe the Cards guys are going to have the same issue with DA.

The biggest issue he has is he not only throws it too hard, when he misses he often misses high, that's a recipe for disaster because high hard ones get tipped up and picked off.

He did play pretty well last night, it is definitely true that in the preseason the offense moved much better with DA than with matt.

Hall looked good too. I think the team responds to him.

Hall started playing with JOY last night. The big smile and the look he had on his face after his TD was fantastic. But, most important, when he got back to the bench the players were just bouncing off him. Happy for him. Happy for themselves. I really saw a TEAM at that moment. Loved it.
