okay so the format changed around here a while back. I noticed I keep getting this link/message on the bottom of my screen...

Arizona Sports Fans Forums would like your permission to enable push notifications

its attached to a link to my profile preferences...
anyone know what push notifications are? what does it mean?

I think it will allow you to get messages when somebody likes one if your post...probably not going to happen for you...

Also you get a message when a new thread is posted. I turned mine off too busy for me, but I'm old.

So it does 2 things. When you are on your phone, you can get push notifications when someone PMs you, quotes a post of yours, mentions you, or when someone posts in a thread you are watching. On desktop, it will have a notification come up at the bottom right of your screen if you have the browser open but not viewing the site. I like it but it's all up to your preferences if you want to enable it or not.
