Just got back from my first game of the year and wanted to share a few things I noticed.

1. Great home field advantage. Lots of Saints fans outside the stadium but they were drown in a sea of red. Clear advantage and loud.

2. DRC - I cant figure him or this secondary out. They seem very confused pre-snap. Thye are yelling at each other, trying to get each others attention, switching guys, even moving each other around. They seem very off. I saw a few times (including on DRC's int to seal it) where DRC waived off Rhodes as if to say i dont need help. The play he made on the ball on the deep pass to Colsten (i think) was a thing of beauty. He was seemingly jogging and timed the jumped perfectly. This kid does have it, and the ego to go along with it.

3. Running game was bad. Longest rn was, what 7 yards? Of course lot of 8 man fronts daring Max Hall to beat them. He really didnt.

4. No one can cover Fitz straight up and they rarely tried. He is so big and strong they had him bracketed with a safety all day. The few times they didnt, attempts were mae to get him the ball

5. Max Hall stares down his receivers. Greer baited him on the Int.

6. Max Hall's throws look OK. Arm strength, is average, He needs to make plays with his head, not his arm.

7. Dockett, especially in the 4th quarter, was being subbed in with Campbell a lot. I amnot sure if he was winded, but he was barely in the last two saints drives and was taken out inside the 5. Just thought it odd, might be nothing.

8. Dan Williams gets winded running from the sideline. Dude is out of shape.

9. Levi should be moved to FB :D

10. Most saints fans I encountered were pretty good. Some trash talking but just fun really.

I have more for later...GREAT WIN!!!!

I wondered what was going on with Nine 0 at the end of the game also.

Man, this was bothering me all DAY. AW was in everyone's ear. It seemed to me like nobody was on the same page...he was always giving words to someone, and visibly upset after plays and sometimes before. Many times before the play he was so mad it seemed he was gonna hit someone.

Very odd...they can't be THAT off the script can they?

2. I kind of think after their meeting this week about holding each other accountable this was more just them making sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be. I didn't take it as confusion and well, the results speak for themselves.

3. Awful but kudos to Whiz for sticking too it and keeping the D honest. A lot of Hall's "success" wouldn't have come if the D didn't have to worry about us running.

5. I saw him doing it some, but I also saw him looking around some. At the very least he's better than DA was at this.

I expect that in a rookie his first start.

It gives you a great benchmark on their progress to see game one, then watch, the season now is infinitely more interesting now that he's the QB.

Contrary to popular opinion some of us don't get off on disaster but would rather have hope, certain players crush hope and in that way are maddening but the same mistakes by say a rookie are easily forgiven.

It's perhaps not fair but it's life.

I agree. Rookie QB's do that. Doesnt mean he cant improve, just an observation. I am not sold yet, but he showed me a lot today. Great win

Interesting game. Not much to take from the offense, although I think you're being ungenerous to the run game. No, it didn't create any game-breaking plays, but the Saints were stacking the box against Max Hall. It seemed like it was maybe more productive than it actually was? I look at the box score and see that the team averaged less than 2 YPC, but it didn't seem like we were putting ourselves in a lot of second-and-nine situations when we ran on first down?

I can't really put my finger on it.

It was also really nice to see some signs of life from Larry Fitzgerald. He's looked real discouraged the last couple weeks and seems to have some mojo again. Now he needs to find the endzone.

They were keeping him fresh which was very smart. Once it because apparent that the Saints were going to a no huddle to get two scores, the Cards started subbing their linemen to keep them fresh. A smart move as most of the reasons that we struggle in the two min drill is because of fatigue across the line.
