They both are punks. Q lost me when he ran out on his team when they were celebrating an NFC championship. Dockett has always been a punk. Ironic that both players are from FSU.

Who has been defending them? It seems to me like most people who post here are sick and tired of both of them right now.

Dockett did a fairly good job of punking the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Too bad he couldn't also play DB and cover Holmes. We'd be World Champs.

Sure are a lot of people on ASFN now yearning for the 5-11 days of yesteryear.

Nope. They are starting to realize that the FO is intent on keeping it's promise. They said if they got the cash flow a new stadium would give them, they would give the fans a winning team. It's obvious it isn't business as usual as witness the draft, keeping key personnel and hiring a competent head coach. Now we don't automatically blame the owners/FO for every bad thing that happens to this team as we can now see a concentrated, conscious effort to make this team better. We can now afford them the benefit of a doubt.

I think it was you who said the team had to show you more than a year and a half of progress before you would believe them. It's my opinion that this upturn in the teams' fortunes started 5 years ago, not in 2007 and it started when Dennis Green was hired. This team has steadily improved since that point in time. This has not been a quick turn around like some teams experience, but a quick turn around can also result in a quick drop into the quagmire. Hopefully we will become a juggenaut in the NFL and remain so for the foreseeable future.

I'm actually starting to hate them. If teams didn't offer much for Q when he was up for trade that means teams aren't gonna want to give him big dollars if he plays elsewhere whether it be from a trade, free agency, etc..hes always gonna be upset about money

40 you missed the point entirely. Many posters are saying that the Cards should get rid of or demote Dansby, Dockett and Boldin. If they do that we are looking at 5-11. Who replaces Dockett? Iwebema? Who takes Dansby's place? Victor Hobson? We just hope that Breaston and Doucet can replace Boldin and that Wells and Hightower can replace James.

It has been difficult enough for a SB loser to win the following season without getting rid of 3-5 of the star players that were instrumental in getting them there.

Defending them? Did they commit some heinous crime ala the Bungles or Felons and need a defense attorney?

Q at least deserves an extension when and if it can be fitted into the salary cap IMO. That's not to say that he isn't doing a terrible job at public relations like many of his agents clients do and have done.

I remember a few years ago when Torry Holt of the Rams had one year left on his contract. Holt always did his own thing and never or very rarely participated in any of the Rams' offseason program. And there was some question whether he would even show up at the Rams mandatory mini-camp that offseason. He eventually did show up, and Rams nation was all atwitter at what a "team player" he was. He was no such thing. He was only fulfilling the minimum requirements and because he did that, the message boards were proclaiming what a great guy he was.

By contrast, until this contract situation arose with Q, he was a regular in the offseason program and the consummate teammate and team-first guy. IMO, he should have participated in the mandatory mini-camp. It would have gone a long way toward winning the public relations battle with management. Instead, he forfeited that by playing things the Drew Rosenhaus way. IMO, his recent actions have also substanially damaged his trade value. It's a sad situation. :(

WOW! Some of us think of it as more than just that, sounds like you lump it in with American Idol and those lame reality shows on MTV. Interesting to know CC.

It is simply entertainment, to my mind, and of no great consequence.

Dockett can eat it. According to Urban, Dockett started wanting a new deal only a year after his current contract kicked in. Unbelievable.

The Cards have plenty of time to draft his replacement. Let Dockett play out the remainder of his contract and then let him walk, IMO.
