Should be more threads about how bad the D is.
This.

Another game where the defense thinks it's touch football. Total lack of effort and no tackling exhibited. How they can just stand there and watch the other team run by them is unbelievable.

They looked like Portland State against Oregon yesterday.

Especially when the current coaching staff has had 3 years plus to do something about it and hasn't. Apparently it wasn't Rolle and Dansby and Berry and Okeafor and McFadden who were the main reasons for the defense cratering last off season as so many here would have had us believe.

Where is the upgrade from getting Porter and Rhodes and DWashington and promoting Tolar? For goodness sake the Cards D underachieved so much last week people were talking about what a great future Bradford has instead of how the Cards made him look like the rookie QB he is.

Is it time to start calling them the Cars again? That worked before.

eh... we'll suck ass this season. That's what happens when your FO replaces a HOF quarterback with two pieces of garbage and your defensive Captain with a cast-off from the Rams/Lions. Seriously, probably the two biggest impact players on both the O and D were replaced by absolute pieces of a trash. That's yucky.

And while there are definitely chinks in Wiz's armor, I've been prepared to suck this season. As long as he rights the ship next year, I'll stay in the light.

this feels uncomfortably familiar. i know everyone expects more from cheese and i after such a game. i just don't think i have the energy to put into the post what this debacle deserves. suffice it to say, my "OMG WE'RE STARTING DEREK ANDERSON" thread has come to fruition and my god, he's somehow infected every other portion of our team.

This wasn't his fault, well ok not ONLY his fault almost everybody sucked

i didn't say that it was his fault. i only said my fears were confirmed. and they have been. DA has sucked in both games this year. and if you read my last sentence instead of wanting to attack or criticize my post, you'll read that i included everyone on the team in terms of placing blame.

Time to get the band back together, wheres cheese and ouchie?

I'm here!

Actually, I'm trying really, really hard not to revert to the dark side once again. I expected us to be worse than last season, but I will never be willing to overlook bad coaching and stupid mistakes. When a team melts down as bad as we did, the first finger gets pointed at the coaching staff. We didn't gameplan well--AGAIN--didn't have any team discipline, allowed a 3rd-string RB to go crazy on us, had more penalties than Carter had little liver pills, and just all around got kicked in the balls. We had more negatives, but I'm too sick to list them all.

Anywho, good coaches don't let a team melt down like that. Yeah, even good coaches will have their teams get beat up on on occasion, but this is the worst we have seen in the Whis era. And I put a lot of it on the coach's shoulders. Two poorly coached games, offensively and defensively. Not good.

Is being on the Dark side expecting the worst but hoping for the best?

I am hoping so. Or at least its expecting the worse with a bountiful entourage of reasons to do so. I just barely jumped over yesterday, but the darkside has been calling to me even before the Rams. QB or not QB? That was the question.

With what I've seen from this team in the last two weeks I am not optimistic.

We win one of those games to be 3-3 and set up for home town cooking.

The dark side's callin' now
Nothin' is real
She'll never know just how I feel
From out of the shadows
She walks like a dream
Makes me feel crazy
Makes me feel so mean

Ain't nothin' gonna save you
From a love that's blind
You slip to the dark side
Across that line
On the dark side, oh yeah
On the dark side, oh yeah
