Racehorse drowns in pond while training at Indiana track (Yahoo Sports)

A racehorse has drowned after veering off the track and into a pond at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson. Hoosier Park says in a statement the drowning occurred Tuesday morning while 3-year-old Just Dance With Me was training. It says a broken bit and loss of control led to the horse going through an inner fence and into the pond.
