Yeah, that stinks. Golden Boldin is #1 in my book.
Yeah, that really sucks a Cardinal with more TDs and catches with about the same numbers of yards made the Pro Bowl. What a travesty.

This is the type of embarrassing commentary I referred to the other day.

Amen I was thinking I was the only one with any sense, this Fitz vs. Boldin crap has gotten out of hand, they are both awesome players I love them both they do bring different things to the table and we need them both to get this team to the playoffs someday....I don't care who makes it if he is a Cardinal I am supporting him.

Who isn't supporting Fitzgerald? I think that most people think they both should have made it!

Not true, re read the post and in between the lines it's rather obvious many of the fans on this board have taken sides. To deny this is rather comical IMO.

I think you are reading too much in between the lines.

I'm pretty sure that there isn't a Cardinal fan who isn't glad that Fitz made it.

Congrats to both. Anyone hear about that Colt lineman, forget which one. Well he was told by the NFL he is a probowler, then a few hours later they called the Colts back and told him they messed up the count, and he didn't make it. How screwed is that.

Congratulations to both Fitz & Rackers. Of course Boldin & Wilson should have made it but with a 4 -10 record we are lucky to have 2 in the pro bowl.

Slow down. I was happy that Fitz made the Pro Bowl but I was hoping Boldin would do the same. No knock on Fitzgerald. In fact, given their stats, they both should have easily made it.

Big read between the lines here. It's no secret that Boldin is more of a fan favorite for many reasons -- like he's been in Arizona longer, I find him more exciting to watch, great personality, etc. Could just be my own opinion . . .

Is Leonard Davis a 2nd Alternate for Towel boy or Gatorade cup filler??? It could not be for playing Football, thats not really one of his strengths. I heard he could fold I mean towel though.

I'll trust the evaluation made by players and coaches, and pass on yours. :thumbdown

Here's something to consider. The Top 10 receivers in the ENTIRE LEAGUE, after Week 15.

RNK NAME REC YDS AVG YPG LNG TD FUM LST
1 Steve Smith WR, CAR 93 1414 15.2 101.0 80 11 1 0
2 Chad Johnson WR, CIN 84 1260 15.0 90.0 70 8 1 0
T3 Santana Moss WR, WAS 75 1240 16.5 88.6 78 6 2 1
T3 Anquan Boldin WR, ARI 85 1240 14.6 103.3 54 6 1 1
5 L. Fitzgerald WR, ARI 92 1236 13.4 88.3 47 8 0 0
6 Joey Galloway WR, TAM 71 1152 16.2 82.3 80 8 0 0
7 Torry Holt WR, STL 88 1128 12.8 94.0 44 8 2 1
8 M. Harrison WR, IND 80 1127 14.1 80.5 80 12 0 0
9 P. Burress WR, NYG 68 1046 15.4 74.7 61 6 1 1
10 Reggie Wayne WR, IND 81 1034 12.8 73.9 66 5 1

Anquan is tied for 3rd in total yards (which is the default stat sort), Fitzgerald 5th. Here's the same list by total receptions.

RNK NAME REC YDS AVG YPG LNG TD FUM LST
1 Steve Smith WR, CAR 93 1414 15.2 101.0 80 11 1 0
2 L. Fitzgerald WR, ARI 92 1236 13.4 88.3 47 8 0 0
3 Torry Holt WR, STL 88 1128 12.8 94.0 44 8 2 1
4 Anquan Boldin WR, ARI 85 1240 14.6 103.3 54 6 1 1
5 Chad Johnson WR, CIN 84 1260 15.0 90.0 70 8 1 0
6 Antonio Gates TE, SDG 82 1026 12.5 78.9 38 9 0 0
7 Reggie Wayne WR, IND 81 1034 12.8 73.9 66 5 1 0
8 M. Harrison WR, IND 80 1127 14.1 80.5 80 12 0 0
9 Rod Smith WR, DEN 79 1003 12.7 71.6 72 6 2 2
10 Santana Moss WR, WAS 75 1240 16.5 88.6 78 6 2 1

Pretty amazing given Boldin missed a couple of games.

TE -- Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez

I see Tony Gonzalez is at the "getting voted in based solely on his name" stage of his career. Heap deserved the 2nd spot MUCh more than he did.

All the Cards need is an healthy gunslinger at the QB position, a good RB, and the Cards would be a top 3 dominant NFL offense for the next 5 years.

"Anquan Boldin WR, ARI 85 1240 14.6 103.3 54 6 1 1

L. Fitzgerald WR, ARI 92 1236 13.4 88.3 47 8 0 0"

Go Cards!! :newcards: :newcards:

If Anquan Boldin scored more TDs, the Cardinals would win more games, and he'd probably be in the Pro Bowl. Sadly, that hasn't been the case.

Larry Fitzgerald scores TDs. It's easy to rack up a lot of catches and yards when your team passes 45 times a game. Scoring TDs is always hard. That's why #11 is in the Pro Bowl, along with Torry "Big Game" Holt and Steve "I'm the Best All-Around WR in the NFL" Smith, and #81 will be watching on T.V. at home.

Tell me you're not starting this Q is average bull again. How many times do you need to be proved wrong?

Where did I say that? I've never said that Q was average. Ever. But he wasn't even the best WR to be slighted for the Pro Bowl this season in the NFC. Joey Galloway was.

Anquan isn't even the best #2 WR in the NFL.

Find one post, ever, where I said Anquan was "average".

Anquan deserved it as much as Fitz. I realize putting 2 wideouts from the same team on the Pro Bowl roster is a difficult feat, but Q not only put up Pro Bowl numbers, he also made unbelievable plays.

This isn't to say it should have been Q instead of Fitz - it should have been both of them.
The Chargers possibly have the starting backfield in LT and Neal! I don't see why the Cards couldn't have the starting WRs? :shrugs:

Boldin is better than Galloway...and Boldin is the best #2 if that is what you call him, Fitz and Q are 1 and 1A...Name Q has the second hight YPG in football.

Boldin v. Galloway(NFL RANK)

Rec: 4th 15th

Yrd: 3rd 6th

YPG: 2nd 9th

YAC: 5.6 yrds 5.4 yrds

TD: 6 8

Boldin has played in 2 less games than Galloway as well...

Boldin at Fitz are already top 5 ranked in the league and BOTH should be in the Pro Boldin--I mean--Pro Bowl.
