I was thinking about this the other day. His season last year was unearthly. He was, what, 40-41? 40-42? This year, he is 24-32, which equates to 75%. That's about average for a NFL kicker. Statistically, he has been decent, but untimely in his misses (read: choke). Do you give him another season, or do you dump him and look elsewhere for a K this offseason?

I said trash him, but that is my heart talking. 2 of those 3 wins (that we should have won), and we would have been in playoff contention all year long.

I voted keep him, unless of couorse the Cardinals do something goofy like draft Nathan Crosby out of CU. That guy's a freak, but it will demand too high a price (in terms of draft position) for the Cardinals to consider him.

The only problem is...is that he's signed thru '09 and I dont think the Cardinals would be willing to release and eat-up the remainder of his contract....

I think some have overlooked the extent of the injury that he sustained later in the '05 season...... Perhaps he rushed back too prematurely which is why his range has been off along with the fact that he hasnt generated nearly as many touch-backs.....

He did though have his best game by far on Sunday which might mean he's returned back to full-strength....But.. he's here long-term regardless...

KLL:

That one FG that went directly over the crossbar was probably a bit of a gift, so he was in all reality 3-4 this weekend, not 4-4....

Yeah.. I actually overlooked that... but he seemed to have more command on the 3 that he legitimately made and his kick-offs have gradually improved as the season progressed.......

I just dont see though the Cardinals eating the remainder of his contract and signing another quality kicker ontop of that.....

Oh, Player's gotta go! If for no other reason than to once and for all eradicate the single bar facemask!

Isn't he the hokiest football player you've ever seen?

Not only does he have the stupid single bar facemask, but what's with the Hulk Hogan moustache lately?

Not only is he the only player in the game with a single-bar facemask, he's the only football player outside of Pop Warner with baggy pants.

Yes, you keep him.

I don't know what accounted for his misses this year, maybe the new stadium. He is accurate within 40 yards, just not the automatic 50+ we were used to last year.

He also has the leg to force touchbacks.

One thing that is overlooked is that he has 3-4 special teams tackles. A kicker has no business doing this but he saved some touchdowns.

He is 24-32 overall, however at 49 and under he is 25-28 which is pretty darn good overall, and his TB's are still high up on the kicker chart (ranked 3rd in TB %).

Heck Vinitari is 23-25 meaning he has missed only 1 less then Rackers and he is suppose to be the best kicker in the league.

keep him, he may have a comeback year and if not he is stil more useful than alot of kickers, the dude has one hell of a leg. If he chokes early and often next year im sure you can pick someone up off the street, I wonder how his kicks look in practice?
