Just thought I would come by before the Thursday night game. Not here to talk smack or predict the score. If you guys have any questions about the state of the Rams. I will tell you the good, the bad and the ugly with the Rams.

Glad to see you guys get off to the fast start. I knew the 9ers would not just walk away with it. Was glad to see you guys beat the hawks on opening day as well.

Again I come in peace, looking forward to a good game and some NFC WEST football talk.

as are we my friend. As much as the division rival thing is there, the Rams have always seemed to be the most respectable team of the rest of the division. No idiot antics like 49ers and seachickens

I'm not expecting much from you guys this year, but with the insane amount of picks you got for the rights to RG3, you guys can build up into a force in a hurry

Wishing you well, luck and welcome. We are coming in a bit tired after the OT win VS Miami. If Dockett can't play that is a big deal. YOu guys played very well last Sunday and at 2-2 you've opened some eyes as have we. Kolbe is playing very well , Our O line has some holes. Look for more 3 step drops for him and play action. Our defense overall has been Great up till last week and then they gave up a lot of yards but very little points.

What is the strenght of you're D against the pass? How is Jackson holding up? Anyone injured that you guys will miss?

Welcome. From St. Louis myself. How is the Rams O-line coming along? What do you think of them as a unit and what their strengths and weaknesses are? Also your D-line looks like it will be really good at the end spots, but how is your first rounder doing at DT?

Welcome.

Can you tell me what has happened to Brian Quick?

Sure Quick came from a very small school, they did not have a playbook, so the transition has been a bit of a challenge. He had six plays in the first two games and then they sat him in the third. He was up against the Hawks.

Quick was used for 13 snaps against Seattle. That may not sound like much, but it’s a big increase over his prior activity. They sat Steve Smith who is healthy but has yet to make an impact.

I think both Quick and Givens will now get the more reps going forward.

Givens hooked up with Bradford for the 52-yard bomb Sunday, and Quick provided one big play with a 19-yard catch for a first down on a third and long.

Keep hearing about all the injuries on the St. Louis O-line. Dumpster fire or under control?

I agree, I was hoping for 4 wins this year... We helped ourselves by beating RG3 in week two. He is unreal, I watch him every week in hopes of a lose and a higher pick!

If Dockett can't play that is a big deal.

Fisher said yesterday joking it[s ok for him to take another week off, he is a great player.

What is the strenght of you're D against the pass?

Jenkins has been a real surprise he plays with a lot of confidence... Flecher is a corner we had but got hurt early last year and is playing well. We take Finnegan and use him in the slot.

When quarterbacks target Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan, they have a woeful passer rating of 36.7. That’s primarily due to his three interceptions. But when Finnegan gives up a completion, he contains the damage with his tenacious tackling ability. And Pro Football Focus grades Finnegan as the league’s No. 1 slot CB when he lines up there. Finnegan plays the outside and the slot.

How is Jackson holding up?
SJax is very slow IMO, he is not the same... he's 29. Not sure if you guys know he is spiting some reps with a 7th RD change of pace back named Richardson. The kid is very fast and runs hard. He should get 10-15 touches Thursday.

Anyone injured that you guys will miss?
We came out clean Sunday shocker.. Sam was only sacked twice and hit 3 times. We did just get back our first RD pick DT Brockers. He should help to stop the run, but he's about 85%.

How is the Rams O-line coming along?
O-line is a mess!

Pro Football Focus charts every play in every NFL game, and the Rams O-line has been responsible for allowing 52 pressures on Bradford. That’s the league’s fourth-highest (worst) total. PFF ranks the Rams’ O-line 30th among the 32 NFL teams in pass blocking efficiency.

The most glaring hot spot is left guard, where Ojinnaka is struggling mightily in pass protection. Sunday, Ojinnaka was beaten for a sack, one hit and three hurries. For the season, Pro Football Focus has Ojinnaka accountable for three sacks and 14 pressures. No NFL starting guard has given up more sacks than Ojinnaka, and only one guard has given up more hurries. In their pass protection ratings, Pro Football Focus ranks Ojinnaka 54th among guards -- or worst in the league.

Turner has performed very well in his pass-pro duties at center, and Dahl has been fine except for a bad game in Chicago.

Hunter and Richardson will be under duress all season, and they’ll have to do all they can to stand ground and keep the wolves away. If the two OTs can repeat the performance they gave against Seattle enough times this season, Bradford will have more of a chance to make plays. And Bradford made plays Sunday, keeping multiple scoring drives going with important third-down conversions.

Welcome Rambos-----We are a pretty beat up bunch right now, (NE and Philly pounded on us), and Miami was surprisingly tougher than expected. They are young and coming on. Tannehill is the real deal.

We look forward to another tough game in St. Louis. The short week and the travel will not help our injury situation. I am concerned about our new offensive tackles handling your edge rushers. Both Batiste and Massie are pretty raw, but they are learning on the fly. We hope to get a run game going with Williams and Powell, and then maybe some play action to slow your rush.

It is a short week for you too so how is your injury situation? How do you believe your secondary will approach covering our receivers. I believe that Andre Roberts will create problems for you there, especially if you give Fitzgerald safety coverage over the top. I also think that our young Tight End, Housler, will be a factor in this game. I anticipate another tight game in your house. I too am not a predictor of scores or outcomes, so I look for an interesting game, and some ferocious defense from Birdgang.

Really bad, it happened so fast, just like last year with our CB. We brought in Pro Bowl center from the Packers, Wells he goes down in the first half of the first game. We lose Rodger Saffold LT first to a neck and then to a right knee injury. We lost our rookie guard is gone for the year, we signed back Ojinnaka who we cut in camp and is the worst guard I have ever seen.

Some how they kept the Hawks off of Sam, but two weeks in a row... don't think so.

I think we will kind of do what we did with the Lions. We did not blitz a lot and only rushed four. At times we only rushed three and dropped into coverage. The Cards have one of the best WR in the game much like the Lions with megatron. You can't stopped them you can only try contain them.

Our secondary is the best thing we have going 8 INT lead the league. That being said our safety's are the weak spot. Not sure if Heap is up, but if he is... he could have a nice game.

I think the Rams try and get home with Quinn and Long and play a lot of dime.

Welcome Rambos.

Even if you guys played dime all game long, I still don't think we'd be able to run the ball. Even with Beanie healthy. We're getting no push whatsoever and forget about climbing the levels and blocking LB's. I could see Fisher playing a lot of Dime daring us to force him out of it. I'm not even sure we can.

Welcome Rambos. Former L.A. Rams fan here. What's going on with St. Louis fan support of the team? There continues to be a lot of talk (and some action) on building a new stadium in L.A. and getting an NFL team there.

Do you think the Rams are staying in St. Louis or is there a whisper they might move back to L.A.? Does the average citizen care if the team stays? Is there enough support to keep the team there?

Good luck tomorrow. Had She Who Shall Never Be Named not moved the team I'd have been cheering for them tomorrow. Now? Proud Birdgang fan.

Welcome. From me you will get what I think. Our QB is still our biggest question mark. He may be what the record indicates or much less. He has some really good receivers in Fitz and Roberts. Our defense is our strength and will come at you from all angles and then some. Expect the unexpected. I would say we were almost sure winners at home but at your house the game will likely be very close. If your QB is hot and does not get sacked early and often you will be a threat to win. I think we can stop most running games. The 49ers are still the team to beat in my opinion. That big running back of theirs is hard to stop and if they get a lead on you he can run the game out. Glad to have beaten Seattle as they are also tough. They had about 6 tries inside our 5 to win the game but our DB's held strong and we won. Not often you can hold a team inside the 5 who have 6 attempts. That may have changed our entire season. Certainly Skelton going down and Kolb coming in made a huge difference. I think it is good we have Skelton as a backup as it will be hard for Kolb to stay healthy all season with his past concussion issues and our poor offensive tackles. We have been both good and lucky. 5 overtime wins dating back to last-year. Got to be a little luck here. Set a new NFL record last year and we continue this year. What are the odds on winning 5 overtime games in a row? Sort of off the charts.

I thought last week we had a different Defensive Plan. Not as many big pass rushes. Perhaps because of Dockett's absence. He can make a world of difference in our play. Sure hope he can play Thursday. Should be a close game and your big RB can really make a difference if he gets hot.

Support for the team is two fold... they now see a better product on the field but the Dome was not full in the first two games. The fans at the dome did make way more noise then in the last five years.

I think ticket sales will be off until they get a new deal in place. Silent Sam, the owner is not coming out and saying they will stay. Could be a leverage play. But that does not help ticket sales. The Rams backed off the London games due to ticket sales being down.

Does the average citizen care if the team stays? That I don't. I'm sure they don't want to lose the team, that being said not sure they want to pay 600 Mil for the upgrades to the dome.

Is there enough support to keep the team there? We should know more by Nov. once they know what the cost of the upgrades to the dome will be. I don't see Stan paying for something he does not own.

I wished him luck, Mulli.

I didn't say, "I'll be saying novenas for the team!"

(Could also have been a "Good luck tomorrow. You're gonna need it" kind of good luck. Didn't think of that, now, did ya? :p)

Thanks for the answers Rambos. It will be interesting to see what happens in L.A. with the stadium. Magic Johnson is one of the movers and shakers behind L.A. getting a team and Magic IS magic in that town.

4-0 is nice but having won 11 of their past 13 games overall that's not luck IMO. This defense is for real.

Rambos,

Welcome, used to live in St Louis and that's why I'm a Cardinal fan, still live in KC and would of gone to the game had it not been during the week but no go, too busy otherwise will watch at home.

I remember the saga of when the Cardinals left St. Louis, can't believe that city is going through this again.

It's sad but in today's NFL you have to have the newest and best stadium to play, for decades everyone scoffed at building a new stadium for Bidwill and while that didn't do all of it, "his son Michael is responsible for 90% of whatever success they have now" it was the thing in the end that allowed them to start being a real NFL team, it takes a ton of money or an owner with very very deep pockets to play in the NFL.

KC just rennovated Arrowhead, it's just what you have to do nowdays.

I agree it will be interesting. RG3 is unreal, not sure he can play like he does and not get hurt like Vick does. I know we hit him a lot and so have most of the teams he has played. They already are getting away from the option plays he was running the few few weeks.

I'm glad we took the picks through.
