When I was 12 years old my drum instructor was friends with Rayford Griffin, drummer for Jean-Luc Ponty. He took me back stage and we met this nerdy black man who played bass, Randy Jackson. I was supposed to be in awe of Griffin, but Randy was just the coolest guy in the room. At least, he was the only one who seemed to be interested in me. Since then the guy is one of the few legitimate A&R talents in the music biz and an all-around good guy ... in spite of participating in the destruction of Journey, which took me awhile to forgive him.

Not sure why he's doing this show, though. I don't think he's much of a dancer.

Some interesting groups last week. Fun show to watch. Takes a ton of talent to memorize and then perform tight routines as a group.

America's Best Dance Crew: Season of the Superstars

For its sixth season, the current judges include hip-hop artist and dancer Lil Mama, former NSYNC member JC Chasez, and So You Think You Can Dance and America's Best Dance Crew alumnus Dominic "D-Trix" Sandoval.

This season takes a different route from past seasons. The crews must perform to the music of one specific artist each week, including Rihanna, Lil Wayne, and other popular stars. This season also features special guest appearances by various celebrities including Justin Bieber, The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, and Kesha.

4 years late but I actually know someone in the group too. Joe Larot(Punkee) is a cousin of my girlfriend. His family is huge, we actually hung out with another cousin of his in Hawaii a month ago. We've seen him at a couple of big family get togethers in Sacramento.

I can't remember if he was on ABDC or not he may have been injured at the time not sure but he's part of the group and part of the show they do in Vegas etc.
