Welcome back the Raiders of the long-ball. That'll be a fun offense to watch next year.

I'll bet it opens things up for Fargas to become the feature back, too. With teams playing a nickle D against them for most of the game, the RB doesn't have to be as big as your typical NFL back, IMO. Fargas will break off some doosies!

What's the over/under on Moss being arrested in the State of California?

I'm guess July 12, 2005 in Los Angeles.

Vikings are gonna suck even if they draft Mike Williams. Wow Moss is the best WR in the league. A phenom. Makes plays other WR can't even make.

He's the only WR that gets consistently drafted in the 1st round of fantasy every year.

Sucks for them.

They can't have that much signing Porter, Woodson and now having the highest paid reciever in the league.

Best quote from the Vikings board:

"Being a Vikings fan is like getting kicked in the nuts really hard about 10 times. And then, as soon as your nuts start to feel better, you get kicked in them 11 or 12 more times."

FWIW....Gambo and Ash on there program today said that Randy Moss would not agree to go to Oakland and redue his contract so the deal was off. They said he would only redue his deal if he were to go to Atl and or Baltimore. I guess we will see if Moss is the scallywag we all seem to think he is

Did you notice that it was RANDY'S AGENT that leaked the trade to the press? I'm guessing that Randy is Okay with it.

Now that would be funny, all this hoopla and then Moss pulls a TO and balks at the trade.

1) Moss will be fine with the deal like k9 said it was his agent that let the story out

2) Although there were rumors of interest for the Falcons, that team has serious issues due to a massive faux paus by the Front office as it comes to Vick's contract extension. Due to that they are around $20 million over the cap, so adding the contract of Moss (reworked or not) would be downright impossible

3) Baltimore had interest but the asking price was too high for them (according to rumors they asked the Ravens for Ed Reed) and therefore were no longer in the running for him

Due to his options being limited and knowledge that his now former team no longer wanted him, he was pretty willing to go anywhere. Remember folks this isn't MLB ... players do NOT have no trade clauses so it really doesn't matter what the hell he wants

I can't wait for the Vikings to go on the clock at number 7 and then let the clock expire again...

I think this is a good deal for the Vikings. They can replace Moss with Braylon Edwards or Williams if they desired. Not to mention they got Napolean Harris out of the deal. Not bad in my opinion.

You are joking right?

The Vikings are just proving how friggin stupid they really are. Trade Randy Moss? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Yeah sure they can just find another WR that can outrun, outjump, and outcatch every other player in the NFL. What a crock! This is a dumb move by the Vikings, who are heading south for the next 5 seasons. Tice as a head coach (the dumbest one in the NFL), and getting rid of all your quality players is not going to help.

This a dumb move by a collection of dumb people.

The Raiders must think it is their birthday right now since they have the most talented WR in the NFL on their roster.

Peace

Harris is a top young LB and he still hasn't entered his prime.

If Harris is a top young LB then so is Ray Thompson. Harris has what I call Rayitis. A player that everyone thinks is on the verge of breaking out or is already good becuase they make a few plays here and there and have great athletic ability, yet it never actually shows on the field. The guy hasnt done a darn thing yet, he doesnt get sacks, ints, PD's, FF's, FR's, and only gets minimal tackles. Now that isnt saying he wont have a Wilson type turn around just that the kid hasnt proven anything at all his first 3 years.

IMO Minny got fleeced by only getting a 1st, late rounder, and below average to average LB.

It says a lot for the Raiders to give up a LB even though one of their greatest needs is LB.

I agree with you 100%. If the Vikings traded Moss for this they would be the stupidest front office in football. There either has to be more to the trade or no trade at all and there trying to get Baltimore to sweeten there offer. Hell I would give up Ray, and our next two #1 and Johnson to bring Moss here. There has to be more to this trade or the Vikings got Fleeced. Oh well, sucks to be a VikesFan :D

IMO its a bad trade for the Vikings. There must be more than so far announced. If not somebody should be shot in the Viking front office for making this trade.
