I agree with you 100%. If the Vikings traded Moss for this they would be the stupidest front office in football. There either has to be more to the trade or no trade at all and there trying to get Baltimore to sweeten there offer. Hell I would give up Ray, and our next two #1 and Johnson to bring Moss here. There has to be more to this trade or the Vikings got Fleeced. Oh well, sucks to be a VikesFan :D

Yes Moss is awesome. Always has been. However, he does come with almost as much baggage to match is talent. Let's not for this.

You could look at it this way: with someone with as much baggage and tenuous future in the leage, the vikes sure did get a lot in return.

But, yes, the Raiders were right to make the trade.

Substantially more than what the Cardinals got for their star WR who had a lot of baggage and a tenuous future in the league.

But you don't trade Randy Moss unless you get get a Herschel Walker type deal. :D

I look at it this way, Randy Moss is a guy that can make everyone on the Offensive side of the ball better just by his presence on the field. There are only a couple of players in the NFL that can do this on either side of the Ball. If you have a chance to get one of them for a player and some picks you do it. If the Raiders did it for two picks and a player then they are they are to be commended. If the Vikings did this trade as has been reported then they are idiots. When healthy Moss elevated the Vikings into a Championship contender even with there defensive deficencies. Our offense with him would be top 5 and with our defense we would be a playoff and Super Bowl contender. Regardless of who is on the field....I want this team to win a Super Bowl for all of its Diehard fans. I do not care if Moss is the one that leads us the same as I would not have minded if Boston had lead us there. I would even go so far as to say I would not mind if Shaun King had lead us there as long as it just happens.

I like KRON tv's sports guy Gary Radniches take on this trade. To paraphrase, Porter just signed a big deal because he wanted to be the #1 guy and the Raiders convinced him that's what they wanted, one day later the Moss trade breaks. And to really rub salt in the wound, Moss wears the same number as Jerry Porter. The best thing for Moss to do would be to volunteer to change numbers as a gesture to Porter that it's about wins, not ego, does anybody really see Moss doing that though."

But the bay area media is really buzzing over this deal, Moss is exciting that's for sure and a great player when he feels like it.

Might the Raiders be thinking about dealing porter on draft day? Maybe to Baltimore, NYJ, Wash, Chicago or *gasp* SF?

It would make sense--for both Porter and the Raiders.
