I doesn't matter what the Spurs do anymore. We're not competing with them anymore; we're not on their level. They're making the most of Duncan's final few years of elite play.

Must be nice having an owner willing to pay what it takes to win. Think they'd still need to add perimeter defense to be a serious contender(that and stay healthy).

I agree. The Suns are not an elite team any longer. San Antonio is reloading for the end of Duncan's career. The Suns need to worry about the longer term aspects of this team.

Damn the Spurs have loaded their gun well. We are going to get swept by the Suns next year lol.

Right, exactly. By the time the Suns are relevant again, Duncan, Ginobili, Finley, and Wallace will be long gone. Parker and Jefferson might still be around, but the Spurs could well be in decline by then.

It will be interesting to see how all that meshes together for the Spurs. The Spurs usually tend to favor front court players that thrive in the low post and Rasheed seems to prefer spot up shooting. Of course, they do have Tim Duncan and he's still an elite player in the post. Adding Sheed and RJ gives them a lot of fire power that they didn't have last year.

Of course, none of it matters to me, I'm a Laker fan so the only team in the West I fear is the Charlotte Bobcats. :D

That's an impressive starting five - better than anyone else in the league IMO.

If that team gels, the Lakers won't be my favorite next season for a title.

Sheed had a good post game, but his shooting range will favor Duncan more than anyother big they've had since Robinson left. Add to that the fact that Sheed and Duncan are 2 of the best post defenders in the league.

Sheed has one of the best post up games in the NBA. That's what aggravates me about watching him play the way he does. He has all that talent and potential to dominate and he simply doesn't use it. Defensively, I have never considered Wallace to be anything better then average or slightly above.
