What?
Will Mexico City still want a pro football team after seeing the 49ers play Arizona this week?

How true is that?

Well if we're gonna suck, then lets be the suckiest. I want the #1 pick in the draft. It's gotta be all or nothing.

We will play them at Houston and you know what our record is on the road.

In all seriousness (not taking a hidden dig), how are the Cardinals affording all of these high draft picks every year? Can you imagine the salary that Leinart will command after that no-talent Alex Smith got stupid money last year? I believe that Carson Palmer's recent success will drive Leinart's price up as well because he's adding to the notion that USC QBs are the real deal.

Well, they never really stay here very long, and we don't pay anyone else. So....

True but you figure if we're able to draft Leinart it's very unlikely that Warner comes back. I seriously doubt he agrees to be a caddie again like he did for Eli Manning last year. So then you shave off Warner's contract and the immediate effect is the cap goes LOWER. Now you have to fork out the huge bonus and stuff of course but in terms of direct hit on the cap next year Leinart won't be that bad to whoever gets him.

To me the serious question is would Leinart pull an Elway/Eli Manning and refuse to play here, and if he did, will we get the best of the situation in a trade?

He's got quite a few things working in his favor here (granted, quite a few things working against him, too)--Boldin and Fitz and Green's history most notably.

I don't think he'd demand a trade on us. I really don't. If he talks to Palmer at all, that will work in our favor. The Bengals were similar to us in that they have a history of sucking and didn't have many positives the year Palmer was drafted, but it worked out pretty good for him, so far.

Usually the really good one leave the first chance they get, the mediocre ones get one more big contract out us and then regress, and we keep paying the really bad ones until we cut them.

That rarely happens and I don't think it would happen with Leinart. He also may want to stay on the west coast.

You are not referring to his last 2 years though ???? ;-)

With the QB situation as is, probably both would beat us. If we still had Warner, we might have a chance at home against Houston.

I think we are equally bad if not better then those two teams.

When we are at full strength we are not very good. With our injuries I do not see how we cannot be the worst team in the NFL.
