READY FOR A NEW SEASON:

Here we are again, just 4 days removed from the start of a new Cardinals season. I am elated to be alive and well enough to be seeing another of these begin, and especially to know that our Cards are pretty much consensus picks to be among the top seven teams that will be competing for Super Bowl appearance.

Tomorrow, my son-in-law will arrive from Durham NH to be here for Sunday's game against his Patriots. My wife and my son eagerly await his arrival, and we hope to have a great weekend of football. Someone in the Catfish household will be very happy come Monday morning.

I want to wish all my fellow Cards fans to have a truly wonderful and winning season, and thank you all for helping to make this one of the greatest places to be if you are a football fan. I join you enthusiastically as we head into this uncharted water.

ASFN brings us all together. We have a lot to be thankful for with our team in contention instead of the old 5-11 days.

I've yet to see or hear anyone pick the Cardinals to be in the SB, so it should be a great season. What's important is getting home field advantage & keeping Palmer healthy. If we do that, it could be a special season.

I just had my 3rd heart procedure in a year today. They discharged me earlier today and I will be at the game Sunday. I just hope the Cardinals don't mess around and have another Cardiac Cardinals moment. Pun intended.

Still there is nothing like attending a Cardinals game with the family and enjoying it together.

Interesting that Gronk, Cooper and LT Nate Solder were not on the Patriots' plane today. They could fly out later after getting more treatments---but the plan may be to keep them at their facility for treatments all weekend.

The stars are lined up, but being a lifelong Cardinal fan it's so very hard not to worry about " the other shoe to drop" if you know what I mean.

It is such a long, tough road to get there. There are so many things that have to go right. Injuries, the lucky bounce, the refs blown call and so much more.

Guys and gals, we were one win away from being in the Super Bowl...ONE FRIGGIN WIN AWAY. It wasn't always a clean smooth ride to get there. There were some big bumps and valleys along the way. But here we go again.

Let's take a page from BA's book....one day at a time.
