After a whirlwind of a week, let's take a moment and ask ourselves, "What moves have the Washington Commanders made in March?"

It's been super-busy, and at first glance, the Commanders who had one of the older rosters in the NFL last season will also have one of the older ones this season, according to those players obtained thus far in March.

  • LB Bobby Wagner
  • K Zane Gonzalez
  • RB Chris Rodriguez
  • TE Zach Ertz
  • TE John Bates
  • P Tress Way
  • RB Jeremy McNichols
  • QB Marcus Mariota
  • WR K.J. Osborn
  • C/G Michael Deiter
  • LB Nick Bellore
  • WR Noah Brown
  • CB Noah Igbinoghene
  • DT Sheldon Day
  • G/T Trent Scott
  • DE Clelin Ferrell

PLAYERS NOT RETURNING

  • DT Jonathan Allen
  • CB Benjamin St-Juste
  • T Cornelius Lucas
  • S Jeremy Chinn
  • WR Olamide Zaccheaus
  • S Darrick Forrest
  • WR Dyami Brown
  • DE Dante Fowler

PLAYERS OBTAINED VIA TRADE

  • WR Deebo Samuel
  • T Laremy Tunsil

NEW FREE AGENTS SIGNED

  • DT Javon Kinlaw
  • S Will Harris
  • CB Jonathan Jones
  • DE Jacob Martin
  • DE Deatrich Wise
  • DT Eddie Goldman

SUMMARY:

GM Adam Peters has been busy, already signing 24 players thus far for the 2025 season.

  • 16 Commanders re-signed for 2025
  • 8 new free-agent signings
  • 8 Commanders who have already signed elsewhere

There will be more activity; however, as we've learned from previous NFL seasons, the values will be dropping, and NFL general managers will make some real bargain signings this week.
