Do you even know who Kent Somers is and how close and involved with the team and its players he actually is? Seems to me like none of you dismissing this do.
He isn't some national beat writer with no inside knowledge of this team. He is a guy that when he says something like this you should probably listen to what he is telling you.
But hey you all can dismiss it all you want. More power to you.
BTW I dont hate Matt. I will be rooting for him harder than anyone should Kurt hangem up. But he certainly doesnt give me any confidence whatsoever. Its as simple as that.

They don't come any better than Somers. He isn't the journalist that is going to throw crap on the wall and hope that it sticks. He knows those players and what they think. he spends a lot of time with them on a daily basis. If he printed it you can pretty much guarantee that it is what it is. .

The board is riddled with my own questions on whether Leinart can succeed. And you say I am "jocking" Leinart, yet you cannot seem to see how your blind man love for Somers is all over this post. You take the man's word as 100% truth an law, that is fine. I don't. I guess in your mind (at least today) that makes me a nut job for questioning one sentence in Somers blog.

Slow news day on the Cardinal front. Then again, it is the offseason so people like Somers have nothing better to do than to create news.
If the receivers are indeed concerned and Kurt retires, they better find some confidence in Leinart quick! Get some extra practice time during OTAs.

no one but PFFt has said the "receivers" have no confidence in Leinart. So it would seem all agree that the "receivers" do not lack confidence in Lefty the Lionhearted.

Certain members of the board just cannot seem to grasp this nuance. Not having confidence in Matt and "hating" him are two entirely different things. I don't think any fan of the team doesn't want him to be successful, I think we'd all love for Matt to turn into a pro-bowl qb. Unfortunately, most signs aren't pointing to that happening.

I am completely over worked, and shouldn't post and be as I am frustrated. So, in reality things are probably going right over my head. That and I am probably WAY sensitive to confrontation right now.

The last time Matt started the majority of a season Anquan went to the Pro Bowl and that was one of only 2 times that he played a full 16 games without getting injured so his confidence in Matt can't be that low.

Yea because players don't regress (like Matt throwing high on most of his passes over 10 yards) or things don't ever change over time in the NFL. They are just fluid and on going.

Yeah, Q is older and brittle, and he is keeping telling Somers that his confidence in Leinart has eroded.
