Red Sox acquired RHP Kevin Jarvis from the Diamondbacks for a player to be named or cash and assigned him to Triple-A Pawtucket.
We hope this is just a case of the Red Sox needing someone to fill Pawtucket's roster after all of Friday's callups. The 37-year-old Jarvis has posted ERAs of 8.31, 27.00, 13.50 and 11.91 in his last four stops in the majors.
