This is a loss. And for a reasonable amount. Hope our old guys are up to a full season grind.

I said all along Reddick's value was around $8m.

Very scheme specific. Undersized. 1 year. All sacks vs scrubs.

And now going to a 4-3 team. Doesn't even fit there.

Only reason he got this contract is his college coach wanted him. Shows no teams believe he is a legit pass rusher

Why? It's an important factor. Every single sack was vs a rookie or backup except a coverage sack vs Niners where McGlinchy did his job.

Because few people other than you factor in the quality of the NFL OT he is matched up against when getting a sack. It is a sack vs NFL talent. End of story. No one gauges interceptions based upon the QB throwing them or WR the CB was matched up against. It is silly.

Reddick was slightly better than Golden but I wouldn’t be surprised to she Golden put up better numbers this year. Golden is steadier and will benefit from being surrounded by pressure coming from every direction. Golden fits the need at less money. Simple as that.

I'm just surprised he didn't go to the NFC East. His only big game ever came against Giants tackles.

I'd rather have JJ.

it's not a question of JJ. At that price it's a question of Reddick or Kennard. we literally saw that play out on the field already and saw who made more of an impact.

I'm not a huge fan of Reddick, but he did bring a much needed speed element to the defense. Somehow we have actually gotten slower on that side of the ball this off-season, which I didn't know was possible.

i don't get it, especially for the money. we would have had every kind of pass rusher to throw at the QB... Watt's strenght, Chandler strength and technique, Reddick's speed and Golden's non stop motor. Bummer.

Unless Reddick didn't want to be here, for the money, we should have re-signed him.

Now our old guys need to hold up...... It's that easy.
We are quickly becoming an old team on offense, aren’t we? Our starters are:

LT: mid career
LG: old
C: old
RG: who knows
RT: old

TE: mid career
WR: late mid career
WR: old
RB: young
QB: young

Defense looks a bit better, but who knows with CBS?

DL: young
DL: late mid career
DL: old

LB: old
LB: late mid career
LB: young
LB: mid career

CB: who knows
S: young
S: young
CB: who knows
