I don't know if this was mentioned in the game thread or not but the refs missed a TD by Nicklas.

On the play to Gresham where DPI was called Nicklas actually caught the rebound and it never hit the ground.

Defender was standing on chalk when ball hit him. Incomplete pass

After watching it over and over in that speed it looks like the DB's foot was not down yet so it should have been a TD for Niklas

That's what I thought too but it's hard to see if that lb was ob when it hit his foot
To me it looks like the ball has already deflected before his foot hit OB. Would have been close either way.

Not sure that would be correct because the ball was not OB so it would technically still be in play.

With as many painfully obvious calls they have, really wouldn't expect them to find this easter egg.

I wonder if Niklas mentioned it to anyone?

Good thing we won, or this site would have broken down.

When a player is standing out of bounds, he becomes an extension of the outside portion of the field; therefore, once the ball is touched by a person standing out of bounds, it's as if the ball falls on the ground.

Incomplete pass. Correct call.

Doesnt look like he even knew. Just grabbed the ball that bounced back to him presumably from off the turf.

This was sent from my cell pjone so please excise any typeos or other errors.

These ******* refs can't correctly call obvious plays right in front of, continually botch the rules & you guys think they would correctly call a double deflection for a TD? Lol Good luck with that :D

watched it over and over still not sure. Surprised Niklas didn't tell them to challenge but I assume he didn't notice either. He probably assumed the ball hit the ground or was out.

I didn't even notice that this happened until I saw it later. I was probably just so annoyed with Ronde Barber talking about how good the 49ers defense was on this drive. Yea, 4 PI calls in the end zone and a TD to follow. That's not exactly good defense when you are technically cheating and then give up a TD. I sure hope we never have him as a color guy again! He is the worst to listen to

+1

I don't normally bag on refs. I must say I'm embarrassed for them this year.

Did anyone complain? Usually BA is up on things and will get in an official's ear or the players would complain. If no one complained then it's a non-issue especially considering we scored a TD on that drive.

I thought after this particular clip he kinda went over to the ref and put his hands up like TD but maybe I'm misremembering things.
