Never heard of players joining a 24-win team for a chance at a championship. Yes, they look good on paper, but they haven't played a single game together yet. And between Pierce, Allen and Garnett, there isn't a whole lot of playoff experience. The East is still weak, so they may have the opportunity to go deep into the playoffs, but they haven't done anything yet. All this potential championship talk is a bit premature if you ask me. You don't go from 24 wins to NBA championship.
With Reggie Miller considering an offer to come out of retirement to play with the Boston Celtics , other potential contending teams are also throwing their hat into the ring, according to the Dallas Morning News.
"The call from Danny (Ainge) came completely out of the blue," Miller said. "All I'm doing is thinking about it. I'm working out, and I want to see how my body feels. Obviously, Boston hit the lottery with the KG [Kevin Garnett] trade, but they've been in the bottom half of the league the last couple of years."
Miller said one other team has contacted him since the news of the Celtics' interest became public. He wouldn't say what team but the hints he gave suggest it is Phoenix.
Phoenix: Where aging stars come to die. (And maybe win a championship)

We are looking at older players, but Pike doesn't deserve any of the criticism you keep throwing his way.
Pike is not getting criticism so what's all this "criticism you keep throwing his way" talk? Doesn't make any sense. Are you trying to get personal again, Chaplin?
Your sentence seems to allude that all 150 posts I have made are Pike criticisms - when in fact this is the only Pike post ever made....and it's not even criticism! At least get that part straight.
There is a difference between criticism and saying someone is old.
Instead of having Pike use up the 1 million cash, Suns could have used that money and probablly less - and that roster spot for a rookie they can develop into a rotation player years down the line......just as the guy above states.
Stop attempting to come up with an argument against me because you have some inner grudge. Just relax...
Given the lack of depth on the Suns front line, he certainly could help today. Not sure in the long run whether he defends or runs the floor well enough.
some say he doesn't rebound well
off topic,
can juwan howard helps the suns?
i read somewhere that he wants out of minny
East Valley Tribune -
Despite insinuations in the Dallas media, the Suns have not shown any interest in 42-year-old Reggie Miller, nor do they intend to do so
