Of those who remain Wiesnewski, Barksdale and Crabtree pique your curiosity. As time passes they become more "available" IMO. I wouldn't mind seeing the 1st two in Cardinal Red, not crazy about Crabtree but a 1 year contract might do wonders for his attitude.

Srange. There' s no one team in the league that tried to sign a sorry receiver already

Michael Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks, Reggie Wayne, & Wes Welker Finding Little Or No Interest http://bit.ly/1GTgZYl

I would actually bring Welker in as long as he stays off the Molly. He's a good possession receiver, something we can use right now since we have no go to tight end and none of our WR's are possession receivers.

IMO a possession receiver is a big guy who plays well in short routes and in traffic who has great hands. Fitz and Floyd are possession receivers. Welker is more if a hybrid because he is great in the middle but also very fast and small.

But he's made a career of prolonging drives by getting open at key points of the game. This is what we need.

I would definitely sign Welker if he was available once we finished with our bigger need areas and any bigger move we have planned.

Welker's had so many concussions I'd be shocked if he could pass a physical.

No money. The Cardinals did a good job freeing up money to sign one top tier free agent (Iupati). There is less than ten million in the kitty. The top half of the rookie draft class is yet to be paid and another round of free agent signings to fill out the roster post draft.

Kind of looks like the Cards are finished signing free agents. Don't see any visits scheduled. Guess they are now getting ready for the Draft.

At this point teams generally wait until after the draft because they don't want a fringe signing like Welker to potentially affect how they draft.

The 30+ WR is going by the wayside. It isn't that they can't be quality players, but the position is so flooded, they normally don't want to sign for near the vet min. Why pay Hakeem Nicks a mil to be your 4th WR when you can draft one in the mid rounds for half the cost, and with potential?

For the Cards, I could still see us signing a CB for depth and competition. Maybe another LB, but nothing on the DL, OL, WR, QB, or S market.

Agree, also there are so many good wrs in the draft the last few years including this year. Bigger, faster and cheaper.

I don't mind if ARZ is done with FA as there really isn't anything left at this point nor do I expect post draft FA to be any better. Wisniewski would be nice but I think he is pricing himself off the market.

So ARZ has a big list for needs in the draft:
OLB x 2
CB
ILB
RB
DT

Hopefully they can tab all those players in the draft.

They are done with their first wave of free agents.

However I'm sure they will sign a few Vets over the next couple of months leading up to the draft.

Remaining free agents worth a look...

RB-Knowshon Moreno
OLB-Dwight Freeney
NT-Ahtyba Rubin
ILB-Mason Foster
CB-Alan Ball
CB-Terrence Newman

I would sign Foster and Freeney pre draft.
