Schmitt is a tough hard nosed FB that Whis loves. I love T. Smith, but we should start looking for his successor and Schmitt is it. He reminds me of Dan Kreider.
FB's are useally undrafted. Use the pick somewhere else.

He's not your typical FB. Think Mike Alstott, Brian Leonard, or even Larry Csonka. This guy can run over people. After one workout, he would be the talk of the town. He would bring an infectious energy to this team.

First, Edge gained 1200+yds last year, so I dont get that.

Second, I love how everyone complains about RG drafting for need then when he goes BPA they complain about not going after someone we think the team needs.

Edge is 30 and is on the tail end of his great career. Behind him we have Arrington and Shipp. How you don't think RB was a need is beyond me.

As far as BPA, I'll give you Doucet, but Iwebama over Choice seems like a stretch to me. Not to mention over several OL.

Sure, he had 1,200+, but never managed to take over a game. Watching wide open spaces close up on account of Edge's lack of burst absolutely killed me last year. 1,200+ is great, but not when he's running with a below 4.0 avg.

Unless we were pulling in one of the better backs (that group ended with Charles off the board in round 3), then i say stand pat with the RBs, unless they want to draft Chauncey Washington who could be a real sleeper..

The rest of the backs are situational types..

I have no issue if we head into the season with last yrs backs.. then we'll just take one next yr. to replace Edge.. who i believe still has another good yr in him

I don't know....from what I've seen of highlights, measurables and production, I'd be happy with Xavier Omon.

Don't know much about him. Trying to get to NFL Draft Countdown to see what Scott Wright says about him. He's not on the Scout's INC "Best RB Left" list of next 10 best RBs.

Everyone start scrambling for info on Timothy Hightower. Definately not a speed back, he may be slower than Shipp. Ugg, just don't understand the philosophy today.

Grew up in St. Louis, and became baseball and football Card fan then. Moved to Texas when I was 12, down around SA and started going to Spurs games, and became a fan. When I graduated HS I went to UT for a year before getting thrown out due to poor grades because I spent every night drinking, but became a big Horn fan then. Never really followed hockey much until about 6 years ago when I lived in Dallas. The Blues and Stars were really good, but couldn't stand the Cowboys, and I associated Cowboy fans with Stars fans since they both talked a bunch of smack, so started following the Blues.
