The more I read about DA the more I am reminded of Jeff Blake. One good year and he rode that rep till the wheels fell off.

Except that DA is 6'5" & Blake was about 5'something!!
We called him Leon because of his me-first attitude. He did however help but Anquan on the map in 2003 by throwing some bombs.
Blake had about the same rep as DA. Good at throwing deep but inaccurate on shorter stuff. Or was it the other way around. I try not to think about those days too much.
What I do remember is all the people who thought that losing Plummer was no big deal because Blake would be a better "caretaker". Took care all right. 3-10 as a starter with a 69 QB rating. Besides he was a jerk.

Was saying just the same on ghat other thread.
Everything written about Jeff Blake had "he throws a good deep ball" in it. He had zero touch on the ball.
I think DA last game was trying to put some touch on the ball. If he can learn to do that then maybe his overall game will improve. A lot to ask, but the coaches may have seen him do it in practice already?
