McNabb has his team at 2-2 and in a 3-way tie for the division lead.

That could have been us...oh, wait...

How many times are we going to discuss this? Cuz we're on thread number 984 dedicated to the "oh Donavan where art thou" topic.

The organization thought Leinart was the guy. They built in the offseason with that assumption in mind. Donavan wasn't going anywhere to be a backup or to "compete".

Mcnabb went to Washington, Leinart didn't work out, chaos ensues. It's really not that complicated but you still need to pat yourself on your pathetic back and "LOL at all of you". Pathetic and sad.

Half the threads on here are "I told you so", just not worded as blatantly.

You are so right man. Imagine what he could do for your secondary....oh wait, I forgot, he does not play defense.

lots of people on here were in favor of McNabb, the main problem was your 40 posts a day saying it. It even had me thinking McNabb was a bad idea lol. Why are you back? for this?

We will just have to ridicule you about something else. Based on this thread we won't have to wait long.

Not to mention that the same reasons for not wanting McNabb then, are the same reasons some of us, including myself would not want him now.

I would much rather have had a free agent QB (or Leinart) along with Daryl Washington and our 3rd or 4th round draft pick next year than McNabb with out them. Not to mention we held a worse draft spot, so we'd probably have had to give up a better draft pick this or next year.

Players who were free agents:
Kyle Boller
Marc Bulger
David Carr
Jake Delhomme
A.J. Feeley

Hindsight is 20/20 and McNabb is actually doing good in Washington, but do you really think he'd be playing as well here in AZ behind our O-Line? Wishful thinking, and he would have come with the penalty of a giant gaping hole in our Middle Linebacker core that is already suspect.

McNabb would have been a MUCH BETTER CHOICE. We could use him for the next 3-4 YEARS! Cards would OWN the division....instead they had their option (Leinart)..then panic mode...cut him...threw the dice on DA and came up craps....now are rolling the dice with Max.

If the team had it all over to do again...which I bet they could they would take McNabb in 1/2 a second.

Who are our middle linebackers in this situation?

Also, McNabb's contract expires after this season.

What's this based on? I don't think he's looked all that hot myself. Although, at least with Donovan at QB we'd have been certain of a win in St Louis unlike that trouncing we got.

If the FO had been willing to pay the price for McNabb, I suspect we'd have Bulger here instead of either DA or Donovan.
